ONLY USED FOR AMATEUR HOME USE. HAS A MUCH STRONGER VOICE PICKUP THAN THE SURE SMS48 I WAS USING. ( DONT HAVE TO KISS THE MIC TO GET MORE VOLUME.) I UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS USED BY SO MANY PROS. A GREAT MIC. WOULD BUY AGAIN IF NECESSARY.

I ordered 3 microphones and needed it quickly. I received it before the anticipated delivery date and they are all in good shape. The quality of sound is what I expected from each microphone. I will definitely be ordering more in the near future.

The Shure SM58 vocal microphone is the only microphone I trust in the field and onstage. It captures live sound from interviewees and rock star singers in a crisp and clear manner without costing too much money. Its got a solid design, omnidirectional capture, and good pickup from a distance. Every broadcast news reporter and singer should be using this microphone for live-action sound. I wouldnt use it in the studio for recording or voice-overs unless you have to. You will be satisfied with this microphone--its a Shure thing.

Well, what can I say here that hasnt been said before? Quite difficult. Dont waste time or money looking for other stuff, this mic is amazing. I like to have the on/off button, really useful in general. If you dont like/need, save another 5 bucks and get base version.
