Sigma 30mm F1.4 Contemporary DC DN Lens for Sony E

I love this lens. Im new to videography and being able to video with backdrops close to the subject and get depth of field so it seems like the background is much further away is brilliant. It means you can be in tight spaces and get an excellent result.

I was so excited to get this lens (and still am) but this must have been a defect or something. I noticed right away these weird shadows showing up in all my photos. Sucks because I’m headed to vacation tomorrow and won’t be able to take this lens with me now. Other than that, the focus was good, images were sharp and that 1.4 is heavenly. Hoping I can get a replacement ASAP.

I only started getting into photography recently but I love this lens. I sold my a6000 35mm lens for this and there is a noticeable increase in quality. It was cheaper too!

Picture is shape, good tone. Auto focus is ok, average, not a good one. Sigma 16mm and 56mm are better.

Works and looks like described, and delivery was on time.
