> 24 hourI have several of these now and they are great. I havent had the first problem out of any of them. I use them for backups, music, movies, and more. I will no doubt get at least one more. It doesnt require an external power supply and works on everything I have tried it on - PC, laptop, Surface Pro 3, TV, Blu-Ray - everything. They are small enough to easily keep one at home for backups (you do back up your computer dont you ??) and one in a remote location (safe deposit box etc.) without taking up a lot of room. I have already recommended it to a couple other people I know and they have not had any problems either. I cant wait until they start making a 3GB or 4GB model.

> 24 hourThis has been going strong for me for over a year now. I bought it when I was in Afghanistan so its been shipped around the world a couple times and it still works like new. While I havent dropped it yet, the shock proof design (they say its been tested) is the main reason I wanted this one. Ive lost hard drives in the past from giving them a little bump and I didnt want to lose another. It really does seem to be a rugged hard drive and I anticipate many more years of use. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who plans on moving the thing from time to time.

> 24 hourGreat so far. Fast transfers, feels solid, the attached cord is perfect, and keeps you from having to hunt down yet another cable or have another one flopping about in a drawer. Its small size isnt an advertising focus, but this thing is slightly larger than my wallet. I havent dropped it yet, so I cant speak to that, but it feels a thousand times more durable than my older external HD, which feels like its on the verge of falling apart just transferring it from one spot to another.

> 24 hourSimple and does what it is supposed to do. I like how the short USB cable stores. It has been lightly used for 5 months as a grab and go periodic backup drive that is normally disconnected for security purposes. The Power/Active LED is a bit hard to see, but no big deal. The case looks nice and is easy to grab. The drive is very quiet and reasonably fast for a mechanical drive.

> 24 hourPerfect for an external/backup drive to carry around in a backpack. Transfer rates were very good (125 MB/s average, peak rates to 175MB/sec and higher). Completely self-contained, which is very convenient. Normally a short USB cord is a hassle, but the compact form factor of the drive lets me just place the drive on the laptop itself.

> 24 hourI wanted a high capacity external USB-C hard drive, because I dont like to clog my laptops hard drive with files. The Silicone Power 1TB USB-C external hard drive fit the bill perfectly. It worked instantly right out of the box. I was transferring files to it a minute after I plugged it into my computers C port. I was surprised at how quickly large video files transferred to it and that it was fast enough to play back the videos I put on it without a hitch. It works seamlessly with the Win 10 file management system. The Silicone Power 1TB external hard drive is a great product that does exactly what it claims to do. I would definitely buy another one if the need arose.

> 24 hourThe storage capacity is done well enough; it has the typical nearly 10%-15% of the 2GB occupied by system data or whatnot. The Tech support gets 5 stars because I have yet to need their assistance with how well this works. Data flows quickly and constantly. The portability of this device is amazing. it is the perfect size for travel, and the fact that the connector cable secures perfectly to the casing is a great feature. I never have to worry about damaging the drive or loosing the cable. Speaking of the casing, it in itself is quite a nice feature. lightweight, and it protects the drive fairly well; I have not done much to test the extent of the durability because i do not want to intentionally inflict damage to my drive, however, from just regular everyday usage, the protective casing is a nice and secure feeling which leaves everything working perfectly fine.
