> 24 hourI wanted a fast, relatively large sized, and portable drive to take with me for MBP time machine backups. This drive was priced competitively, and seems to work really well for my purposes.

> 24 hourI bought this product in November of 2019, only came back becuase I am building my own Gaming PC and I plan to get a TLC internal SSD and I wanted to check what kind this one was. With that said this particular SDD I have had for 2 years. I have stored absolutely everything on it. I am a Content Creator and Full Time student so I have 7+ months of recorded streams, Games, 2 years worth of all my school work + other miscellaneous large files I use for video editing. This external SSD has held up great and I still have 178 GB left on it. It also doesnt get warm at all, even while gaming, I have it right next to the vent for my laptop which warms it up as well and it still runs flawlessly. In general Im not playing most things at high settings with an MX150 and an intel core i5 8250u to put things into perspective but Im confident that whatever I throw at it.. it will do fine. I have also dropped it about 3 - 5 times from desk height onto a wooden floor (bouncing off of things before it hit the ground) - even with that no data loss and it still runs great. 100% Recommend especially for students.. as I carried this in my backpack or bag and didnt have to worry about the disaster that happened to my previous external hard drive when I dropped it ONCE and lost everything in the middle of the quarter :(.

> 24 hourI would not recommend this SSD. It feels really cheap but I dont care so much about that if it works. Unfortunately, the write speed would vary wildly from around 400 Mb/s then slow down to 6 Mb/s when running a speed test on it. When actually writing files, it would start up quickly, then the data numbers seemed to freeze. It would eventually copy all of the data but the estimated time in Mac OS would start at 15 min for 80ish GB folder, then go up to over an hour. It actually took about an hour. It is just not consistent enough for me.

> 24 hourUsing this drive as an external for a Mac Mini since its not possible to upgrade the internal drive after purchase. The drive is fast and worked immediately upon plugging in. I dont intend to use this as a portable drive, but its incredibly light if you do need it mobile.

> 24 hourHad an earlier made one and it has been terrific and still not full - working great! Decided to get a second drive to keep one safe in a safe. Been very happy with the product - SSDs are the way to go - fast and much less likely to fail.

> 24 hourI dislike nothing about this product and I think its a great value, very durable and has the right amount of storage capacity for what I purchased it for.

> 24 hourI dont know whose fault it is, but the product description for the 1TB USB stick is incorrect, and the error is significant: says USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10GB spec), but the package is clearly labeled USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5GB spec). Now of course the USB labeling was invented by some gnome with a bad sense of humor, but if youre going to use the labels, you have to get it right. (To be fair, the upto 600MB/s is a clue that should have raised my suspicions, but unfortunately I wasnt really paying attention to that.) This might still be a reasonable product for the price, but not what Im looking for. Caveat emptor.

> 24 hourGreat build, including a great cable which firmly attaches to usb3 sockets. On Mac, good read/write speeds of 530/460 MB/sec respectively, but only while SSD fast cache buffer is free and there is pre-cleared SSD memory available. SSD cards cant write over previously deleted data unless that data has been cleared by a separate pass, at which time the write speed drops to 6 MB/sec while it does that pre-clearing. Once I learned this unusual behavior (of all SSDs Im told) I was very happy with this 1TB unit and have 2 of them.
