> 3 dayI caught this while it was on sale. I had been looking at a 1TB Samsung SSD upgrade, but then I saw this for way cheaper. The upgrade was pretty painless. I didnt plan to clone my previous drive - who needs that pita. Just backed up what data I wanted to save and did a clean install of Win10 on this drive. Feels better having a clean Windows every couple years anyways. I included a snapshot of my DiskMark numbers. Seems pretty snappy on my 2 & half year old Dell G7 7588.

15-04-2025The SSD is fast - noticeably faster than the stock one half its size that came with my daughters Dell Inspiron gaming machine in 2017. The included caddy with USB interface is easy to use. The software that you download to migrate partitions from old to new SSD did create the partitions correctly but the new primary partition on the new SSD wouldnt boot. We spent a few days tinkering with other software and finally got it working. But it was anything but a straightforward process.

> 3 dayDeals come and go prices tend to come down over longer periods of time. When I purchased this drive it was a good bang for the buck. I believe SK hynixs makes a good solid product that will last. The main reason I went after this drive was because its going in a laptop and it is one of the lowest power consumption higher-speed drive that I could find. Because it was going to be the OS drive and storage I wanted to make sure it was going to be one of the faster better performing drives. And yes small file transfer speeds are as good as it gets for PCIE 3.0.
