    Greater than one week

This child lock is super easy to install and does its job by preventing my toddler from opening the sliding glass door. It doesnt keep the door 100% closed (so toddler can crack it open and let flies in) but it serves its purpose as a child lock.

I absolutely love these so much! I was looking for an easy solution to keep my little one from opening the back sliding door and this has been a life saver. The adhesion is super strong. Make sure you don’t place it too close to the door where you can’t close the component when placing it on the door. 10/10 recommend this product.

Works great! My kids can’t unlock the sliding door and it works to get intruders out.

Our 3 year old likes to let himself outside. We had been using a wood stick in the sliding door track, but he figured that out. These go on easy and lock very quick. The only issue is that they are thick enough when closed to make it a little harder to open and shut the door when it rubs past these. I dont know that theres much a manufacturer could do to make that better, and its much better than losing a toddler. The adhesive seems pretty adequate. If someone really wanted to get into your house, this isnt going to stop them, but it is great for parents.

This worked for me immediately. We have multiple sliding glass doors in our home. Our two year old quickly figured out how to open and unlock them, which is an issue. One of my biggest fears was the doors being opened at night without my knowing and an accident occurring. These instantly took that worry away from me. I was very skeptical about these working because so many times something claims to be childproof then isn’t. However these are strong enough that my two year old can’t open the door when In use. I will say that I don’t think these are suitable for older children that can reach via chair or other means. They are very easy to close, and aren’t difficult to figure out. If my toddler could reach, he would be able to close the latch and open the door. So keep that in mind. BUT for us, and for now, these work great.

It does work for locking a sliding door or window but it is hardly a child proof lock, to deactivate the lock all you have to do is push the cap down and then you can open the door/window, so if you don’t install it high enough your kid will easily deactivate it, it would make soooo much sense if you needed to push the lateral buttons at the same time while you push the cap down in order to deactivate it, that way even if the child reaches the lock it would be really difficult for them to unlock it. Also as other comments say, the glue is super strong so lets say it was good that I only needed 1 lock and it came 4 of them because as I try to install it for the first time I barely place it for a second against the window and it got instantly super glued, I needed to move it a little bit to the left and it was really hard to take off and install another one again. As I said, it keeps the door from opening but not really happy with the purchase overall.

My 3-year-old figured out the locks on our sliding doors, so we needed something that would prevent her from opening the door but still make it easy for us to let the dogs out. This was the perfect solution and is very strong. Ive pulled the door open hard a couple of times on accident, and it hasnt budged!

We have a pool and are worried about the grandchildren going outside by themselves. I go outside frequently and dont want them to come outside with me. So, I put one on the inside of the sliding glass door and one on the outside of the door. Now it can be locked when not in use and I can go outside and lock it, then unlock it to go back inside. Works great. Easy application. Make sure you clean the sliding glass door with dish soap then rinse off with water and let it dry first. Ensure you put it high enough for the kids not to reach but for you to be able to comfortably lock it with the buttons on top and bottom. Make sure you position it correctly before peeling off the plastic backing. Mine is not budging after applying it. Great product!
