> 3 dayThese were bought for my granddaughter, as she is learning to open the sliding glass doors. These work great. They adhere very well to the glass, and they are strong. I bought the white ones. They don’t look bad and when you need to open the slider, they snap closed flat, giving plenty of room for the slider to open.

> 3 dayWorks great! Easy installation and easy to unlock while distracting the toddler! (don’t want toddler to figure out how to unlock it!) this item is easy enough to unlock and lock with one hand!

> 3 dayI use this lock to help keep sliding patio door closed. I need to keep my mom with dementia from opening door and wandering outside or constantly letting pets in/out . I put it up high enough that she cant reach it. It adheres strongly to glass and was simple to install. Other locks required holes to be drilled or other complicated adjustments. This lock is basically peel and stick. The adhesive is good quality 3M. Super easy to lock/unlock for adult so it works in my situation only because mom is really short plus she doesnt realize lock is there. Would be good for toddlers but probably not for older children able to reach it somehow.

> 3 dayWe have standard windows installed last year (so current, modern standards) but these locks are a tad too thick (about 1/16) for the window to open when unlocked. They do, however, prevent the window from opening too far which was why they were purchased in the first place so in that respect they do the job.

> 3 dayThis was such an inexpensive security lock for our home. We installed them on the gliding doors to prevent our toddler from sliding the doors open whenever he wanted. It works amazing! A full grown adult wouldn’t be able to open the door from outside, it has given us a peace of mind.

> 3 dayThe first time I tried to install this, I followed the instructions exactly. Shortly after, the lock fell down in between my sliding doors and got stuck. My sliding door wouldnt close with how it was stuck, and I had to use a spatula from the kitchen to shimmy the lock out. I tried a second one and held it in place for triple the time suggested on the instructions, which has seemed to hold okay this time.

> 3 dayIt does work for locking a sliding door or window but it is hardly a child proof lock, to deactivate the lock all you have to do is push the cap down and then you can open the door/window, so if you don’t install it high enough your kid will easily deactivate it, it would make soooo much sense if you needed to push the lateral buttons at the same time while you push the cap down in order to deactivate it, that way even if the child reaches the lock it would be really difficult for them to unlock it. Also as other comments say, the glue is super strong so lets say it was good that I only needed 1 lock and it came 4 of them because as I try to install it for the first time I barely place it for a second against the window and it got instantly super glued, I needed to move it a little bit to the left and it was really hard to take off and install another one again. As I said, it keeps the door from opening but not really happy with the purchase overall.
