> 3 dayThe first time I tried to install this, I followed the instructions exactly. Shortly after, the lock fell down in between my sliding doors and got stuck. My sliding door wouldnt close with how it was stuck, and I had to use a spatula from the kitchen to shimmy the lock out. I tried a second one and held it in place for triple the time suggested on the instructions, which has seemed to hold okay this time.

> 3 dayUsed this product for a sliding glass door. Probably okay for toddlers but was very flimsy and not well made in my opinion.

> 3 dayWe have a pool and are worried about the grandchildren going outside by themselves. I go outside frequently and dont want them to come outside with me. So, I put one on the inside of the sliding glass door and one on the outside of the door. Now it can be locked when not in use and I can go outside and lock it, then unlock it to go back inside. Works great. Easy application. Make sure you clean the sliding glass door with dish soap then rinse off with water and let it dry first. Ensure you put it high enough for the kids not to reach but for you to be able to comfortably lock it with the buttons on top and bottom. Make sure you position it correctly before peeling off the plastic backing. Mine is not budging after applying it. Great product!

> 3 daySo this is another toddler safety item we purchased that was a total dud. Completely useless and NOT SAFE to trust. My toddler has a room upstairs & we wanted to keep him from getting out the windows and falling to his doom. The included adhesive holds the device to the window very well, but thats where the positives end. The device itself is very flimsy and cheaply made first of all. Secondly, the mechanism of action is a complete headscratcher. I assumed that the device would be locked in place by default, and squeezing both small tabs at once would unlock or release the big flap part and allow an adult to open a window. Its the OPPOSITE, which is mind-bogglingly dumb. The device obstructs the window by default, sure, but you can just PRESS THE BIG FLAP DOWN to unlock it. You then squeeze the two tabs to lock the window. So the easiest thing in the world for a toddler to do is the part thats supposed to protect them, and then the only part thats hard for a toddler is the locking part that we dont care about. It should be EASY to lock and then DIFFICULT to unlock, obviously. To be clear, a toddler can just lean on this or bop it with their little hands and it will lock itself closed, meaning that the window can then be opened..... Its literally designed to be easy to unlock, which is crazy. I puzzled over this for a little bit and then realized that this is *probably* originally an item for securing the window against outside intruders. They then just rebranded the graphics for the listing and maybe the injection molded colors to be more toddler friendly and are attempting to sell it for toddler safety, which is hilariously negligent. Some parents are inevitably dumb enough to fall for this without even contemplating the mechanism, but thats still crappy and unethical as heck. Stay far, far away from this product.

> 3 dayI absolutely love these so much! I was looking for an easy solution to keep my little one from opening the back sliding door and this has been a life saver. The adhesion is super strong. Make sure you don’t place it too close to the door where you can’t close the component when placing it on the door. 10/10 recommend this product.

Greater than one weekWe have slippery steps on the back porch, and woods and a creek down below. My 2 year old could unlock and open the sliding glass door. Even a wood dowel couldnt keep her inside. Only took a couple seconds to install this safety latch and now I dont have to worry about her getting outside and getting injured or lost. This wont be strong enough to keep an intruder out, but its definitely capable of keeping a toddler in. The adults in the house occasionally forget to unlock it before trying to slide the door open. Even with it been accidentally rammed into many times over the last several months, it is still secure and holding strong. Very satisfied with my purchase.

> 3 dayThey work perfectly, and are so easy to install & use! I apparently didn’t read the description very well though because I got four of them instead of one lol.

> 3 dayThese do end up rubbing quite a bit and now look worn out. Cause my door to stick slightly even when down. Do the job.

> 3 dayI love that I can use this at the top of my sliding door, but it is easier to disengage the lock then it is to set it and I have a problem with that when it comes to my wild child. All he has to do is press it in and boom, he’s out the sliding door. Realistically as parents we know children climb chairs and tables to reach what they want, and this prevents nothing if a child can reach it. If a mechanism was added to prevent the lock from going flat, then I would give it five stars.
