> 3 dayWe have 4 cats and have been through a number of scoops. This one actually seems to work with the aluminum non-stick feature. My previous scoops have caught a thick layer of gross litter after a week of use and require frequent cleaning, but Ive used this for 2+ weeks and it has maintained its shiny aluminum exterior, with the exception of the bottom part that is caked with some stuff because it comes into contact with cat pee/poo all the time. Its not any bigger than the scoops Ive had before and the actual scoop part may even be smaller than my previous one from Chewy, but I would sacrifice size for function for sure.

23-04-2025If you are used to using the cheaper plastic scoops you may wonder why you need a metal scoop. It is easier to use overall. You can exert more pressure to be sure youre sifting through all of the litter. It wont snap off mid scoop like the plastic ones. Far better overall

> 3 dayThis thing is big and it is solid! I only gave it 4 stars though because you have to be careful. When I first got it out of the box, I cut my finger on one of the slits, so be careful!

> 3 dayVery happy with this sifter! It is very study, but not too heavy or unwieldy. The handle is very comfortable! One of our kitties litter boxes has an awkward angle for clearing, and the previous sifter we used (coated metal, long handled) was not a solid handle (by design; was curved metal, open at the back of the handle). The unclosed design was causing a painful sore near knuckle of my middle finger, though there wasnt corrosion etc. on the handle... This sifter has a complete handle by design, with a sort of cushion. Happy to say the blister has disappeared and my hand experiences pain-free sifting! :) The metal scoop is well vented, but not too much, so wee bits are collected at first attempt. Thus far, nothing has stuck to the metal scoop, and THAT amazes me. 30 years of cat moming, and this is the best sifter Ive used! Price is great. Looked at major pet store, and this type wasnt even offered... what they carried was more expensive + lesser quality, or the pretty useless plastic type. This one is The One! :)

> 3 dayI foolishly bought a litter scoop from the dollar store and quickly realized why I saw scoops in the store for much more money. I searched online to find a scoop that would hopefully sift through the litter without me being afraid of breaking the handle or flinging a scoopful of dirty litter in my face as it got stuck in a pile of you know what. This scoop was the cheapest one I saw that was metal (there was no way I was going to risk buying a plastic scoop online). I figured it was worth a try. When it arrived I was actually excited to try it out. It is very sturdy and there is no way this is going to bend like the cheap dollar store scoop. It works well and even gets the clumps of pee stuck on the bottom off with minimal effort. Sometimes the tiny poo clumps get stuck in the holes, but its better than stabbing it with the jagged edges of the other scoop and ending up with little poo nuggets stuck to the tips. I just use the bag to push them out. Id recommend everyone get rid of the plastic scoops and opt for a metal one like this.
