> 3 dayWe were looking for a sturdy mailbox after the plow took ours down. We also live in an area where the soil is hard clay so didnt want to dig, pour cement etc. This also replaced the need for a separate newspaper tube. We chose to purchase a 24 inch stake and mount the 4x4 post on to it. The post was 2 ft. Everything went together like a charm and the mailbox is firm in the ground. I know some reviews mentioned the stake method being wobbly but I really think it depends on your soil. The mailbox is clean looking too and not many parts. All in all I think we put thus up in under 15 minutes and has been up for weeks now without issue. Love that it is made in the USA too. I do think when winter comes I will do as many others, put plywood up to protect it.

Greater than one weekA really nice mailbox. Installation was easy and took maybe 30 minutes over the post from the previous mailbox. Very pleased.

> 3 dayGood mailbox, easy to put up. Just hope it holds up better than the previous one. The snow plow took it out after 2 winters. The snow twisted the box and cracked the base. We have tough winters, but still.....

> 3 dayThis is the second one of these I purchased. The first was almost 15 years old and would have still been up had it not gotten hit by a passing car. I would recommend this if you want a maintenance free, long lasting mailbox.

> 3 dayProduct was easy to assemble. Snap in the door on the bock of the box for the newspaper/flyers under the mailbox, screw the mailbox to the post and mount the mailbox to a 4x4 in the ground. Done. If you dont want to dig a hole for the wood post, there is an option to buy a metal spike that you hammer into the ground and the 4x4 mounts to the metal spike. Design improvement - The screws that hold the mailbox on to the post now screw in from the outside of the mailbox. The older model had the screws on the inside of the box.
