Stonemaier Games Viticulture Essential Edition Board Game, for 156 months to 9600 months

The game build quality is reasonable. The friends I gave this to as a gift enjoyed it. I have found that worker placement games are not my favorite.

As a disclaimer: I am not a big board games player at all, but I like this one quite a bit. This particular edition feels well balanced, engaging, and fun. Check youtube tutorials if the rules look overwhelming at first.

I can’t recommend this game enough. The development and execution of the wine-making theme is so well done. The amount of options and interactivity sometimes limiting those options elevates the experience and requires strategy shifts throughout.

We love this game! Its a fun game with a great theme! We have even gotten one of the expansion packs now. Just purchased it as a gift for a friend who likes board games and wine. Im sure they will love it as much as we do.

If you are looking for a great worker Placer and Engine Builder that is also thematic just buy this game already. Just know that if you want the full experience of this game you will want to get the Tuscany expansion for the structure cards and extended board, but if you can afford it grab that as well. Dont miss out on this game because it is one of the best I have ever played.

We have played this game with 2 and 4 people and it is very fun with any number of people. The solo play is good and even has a campaign mode that seems like it would be good, but I havent tried it yet. This game has very high quality components and the rule book is very easy to follow. It is pretty easy to learn and seems a little complicated at first, but once you start playing isnt that difficult.

Absolutely a must buy if you are new to the world of Viticulture. This is the newest edition that has some of the most popular expansions built into it. You dont need any other expansions to enjoy this world; just this game is enough. However, I also purchased the Tuscany expansion, which has a few more modules to fold into this game. The game works excellent with 1 player (solo) and is even better at 2-player. There is no major competition or blocking or sabotage going on, and there is more than enough for each person to do to focus on their own play style. You can gain points from a variety of ways, and the replayability is fantastic (youll always be starting with different resources, and be going after different orders with different vines and having different visitors come each round). The game is just unreal, the production and design is top notch, the mechanics are superb (you always have a wild card meeple that can also be played at a position that is already claimed) and the theme is just excellent. I cannot recommend this game enough. It is a breeze to set up, and I have purchased a set of metal coins to use instead of the paper coins. The table presentation is just sleek and I cannot praise this game high enough.
