The light output is good from this and I like that its water proof.

Appears to be as good or better than advertised. Should order a few more for friends and family. Enough said.

The carrying handle is flimsy. Beyond that, I absolutely love this lantern. Perfectly even lighting 360 degrees. Bought in fall of 2014. Use briefly every night for two to twenty minutes, and I am still on the first set of batteries. Will be on my gift list for next years Christmas shopping.

This is a great little lamp. Nice and bright, three brightness settings, red mode, and easily hangs from both ends. It seems durable. I like the fact that the dome comes off and you can use it as an overhead. If there was one thing I would change it would be that the color temperature of the light was a little warmer. Its NOT that blue glow that some lamps have. ( I despise those), its more of a daylight colortone. It would be much more inviting if it were a little warmer in color temperature.

Great light but heavy. For how efficient LEDs are it is not necessary to use D lights. I bought one of these lanterns years ago and it is still kicking and I hardly change the batteries. Great for a night light for kids. put it on low and they can leave it on all night and still have light for the next night. red beacon is good but wont be very bright for emergency use. Streamlight is one of the best quality flash light companies on the market. You will not regret buying this lamp. But it is a bit heavy for back packing and wont collapse down so I dont advise it for that. Great for cabin or emergency power outage use. The red light and beacon are great. I would say the beacon should be brighter for emergency use for visability. But the brighter it is the less time it will last. This does not discount the rating. I now have the AA and the D lamps. I would suggest the D lamp for home (emergency use) and the AA for camping, bug-out-bag, car use for its compact and low weight. Im buying more AA lamps for cars, homes, and bags.

This is a well constructed lantern. Very sturdy, compact. Good amount of light. buttons, and materials are high quality. I like how there are rubberized parts for the safety of the lantern. If you are looking for a lantern that is worth your money, then this is the one. Would buy it again! UPDATE: I actually bought another one :) Still working strong, and very happy with it. My mother liked it so much, and she use it every day. Best lantern EVER.

Awesome little light!

I use it when the power goes out (fairly often) and outside on unlit places. I was impressed by the option to turn the light red.

If you are thinking about buying a portable lantern. Dont waste your time but this one!!!! This little sucker is very bright for its size. I have been fishing 2 night already, and the fresh batteries I put in there are still good. I recommend this to anyone looking for a fishing/ camping lantern.
