I love everything about this light (almost). Its fairly bright for just about any situation, durable, well built metal construction, great pocket clip and will hold up to a lot of abuse. The one flaw that it has is the light switch. More than once, I have felt my pants pocket getting hot, looked down and found the light turned on. There is no way to lock out the switch to prevent the light from accidentally turning on. This is a bummer and perhaps a major flaw as I do not trust just throwing it into my backpack for fear that it will rub against another piece of gear and turn on. My solution is to buy a small quarter inch wide by half inch rubber band and put it over the switch to keep it from moving. This has worked out well, but is just one more thing to potentially lose. Overall I love the light, just wish it had a lockout feature. I like the light enough to purchase it again if I lose it.

No cap on the charger hole which faces up while in your pocket but so far there hasnt been an issue. Very bright and doesnt take a lot of space in the pocket either.

This is much brighter than I thought it would be, theres basically no indoor scenario where youd need the brightest-setting; but its good to have it for outdoors. The weight of the light is far less than it looks, its basically like holding two AA batteries IMO. ...Some might say the light is big, but thats why it has fantastic battery life, a smaller light wouldve just reduced runtime - this is the main reason I bought this, for the batter life. The USB-C charger is a nice touch, since everyone has a cell phone that charges with one these days anyways.

I owen the the Streamlight Microstream. That was my EDC light. This WEDGE light though expensive is worth every penny. I do my best to buy made in the USA but currently I have not found a better light company. This is a well made light. Changing the pocket retaining clip from left pocket to right pocket to where your thumb is on the on-off switch tells me that someone was thinking in the development process. Having a USB C type charging capability is up to date. I have many C type charging plug just about everywhere. It fits in my pocket as claimed. The clip retention is stout. I saw someones post of a broken clip. To me that wont happen in normal use I cant verify the 1000 lumens but its a blinding light, which is exactly what I need if I get into trouble. Being a IPX7 is a plus. The switch, charging light, casing and light is high quality. The only negative would be the wrist lanyard. It might fit a baby wrist cause its very small. Its not even close to being a deal breaker. This will now be part of my EDC kit. Im expecting this light to last and be there for me in an emergency.

For some users this light may be ideal, but in many ways it misses the mark. PROs: The form factor is great for an EDC flashlight, and the clip has been sturdy, never failing to hold the light on my front pocket next to my EDC multitool. The thumbswitch is also ideally placed for quick operation and the light sits well in hand. The overall flat-sided shape also makes it convenient for placing on horizontal surfaces and not having it roll away. The light is quite bright and the beam very even though lacks any focusing ability. BUT... CONS: For my purposes (inspecting in/around electronic equipment in dark areas, backstage areas of live shows), the low setting of the light is MUCH too bright and because of its broad beam and no focusing ability, it illuminates much more than I wish. In a dark environment, the leads to glare off surrounding areas and because it is so bright, I lose ability to discern important details as everything is just awash in light. Which leads me to the second problems...battery life and heat. This light is not designed to run for more than a minute or so if hand held, because it quickly heats up in the area near the on/off switch. Forget the high power mode as it is not a locking switch in high power mode and requires considerable thumb pressure to keep it in high power mode. I have no idea how long it might last in high power use, but in normal mode, the run time before recharge is not great. I get maybe 40 minutes use over 2 days before it needs recharging, and the charge rate is very slow even when connected to a high power charger. Expect to charge this light every day under normal use if you use it as a daily and work in dimly lit areas. SUMMARY: If the designers of this light allowed a lower power setting, this might alleviate the heat and run time issues as well as make it useful for working in dimly lit areas. But at the cost of this light, I can buy at least half a dozen cylindrical tail button AA-battery compatible flashlights that work as well if not better in my use case. Its a cool flashlight, but misses the mark.

I’ve carried this light for approximately a year now. I used it almost every day. Initially I purchased it while working as a jailer, and found it was easy to carry, the two brightness settings helped with not blinding people as I checked doors, or turn up the intensity when needed. Once I moved to patrol I went to night shift, and usually used this for vehicle stops or walking around inside a dark room or residence. The throw isn’t very far. Anything past 10 yards and you’ll need to bump up to a stronger light if you need to see details like hands clearly. It doesn’t do great at cutting through photonic barriers, so when it comes to tinted glass or privacy glass this isn’t your guy. But I find it useful when I’m at a car side trying to read an ID, insurance, or write a citation. It doesn’t blind the person sitting in the car as I stand with the light over them, but if something changes and I need to see in the car quickly I can bump the light to high power. The way it came in the box was set up for a right hand carry. I swapped the clip with so it is on the same side as the switch. This makes it easy to pull out of my left pocket and immediately have my thumb in the right spot. This is think enough to conceal in your hand, but also hold in place while shooting if you don’t have a weapon light on a pistol. Again, the throw isn’t ideal, but it fits in a pinch. I like that the switch has a charging indicator built in. Plug it in, light turns red. Fully charged, light turns green. If you use it for just every day stuff, I can go a week or two without charging it and noticing it dimming. It doesn’t get to dim, but the high power setting goes away. It last me all through one 12 hour shift of pretty regular use, but I just slap it on a charger when I get home in the morning and it’s ready the next night. The only time I’ve seen this light actually drain the battery and die I was on a crime scene and stuck it in a cone turned on to help illuminate the cone so cars could see it. It stayed like that for probably an hour. I had used it prior to that call, and for the rest of the investigation for afew hours, so it lasted quite some time. My biggest gripe is probably that the USB-C port is on top and faces up. I wouldn’t be as concerned about it if had a cover on it. It’s completely exposed to the elements. The coating on the light is great. Down in Texas, the heat and sweat from being in a pocket hasn’t done to much wear to the coating, just on the edges which is to be expected. Even when the light is on for an extended amount of time, it’s not hot. The body can get alittle warm, but never unbearable. For $100ish bucks, it’s definitely worth it’s price. It’s not really designed to be a far out light, instead more of small jobs. If I lost today I’d be ordering another asap. Not only do I recommend to a friend, I’ve given a couple as gifts to friends.

I like the rocker switch to activate, which produces a wide beam which is great for room or vehicle searches. If you need a temporary brighter light, you push the rocker forward on a momentary push, then it goes back to the wide beam. The wide beam makes searching for evidence better than having the typical spotlight that can drown out items.
