Greater than one weekI had never heard of this product until it was demonstrated in a sewing class I had taken. In the midst of serging a soft-slinky fabric for an infinity scarf I ran into quite a few problems with frayed ends and remembered this product. It is lightweight, and was easy to lay over my seam as I serged a rolled hem vs. using a pre-cut and slippery seam tape or coming up with another method.I simply pulled off the excess after I finished my seam, as it was perforated by the needle. For me it worked well (though I also learned that using a wooly nylon tread along with this stabilizer on my specific fabric would have increased the overall affect).

> 3 dayI used this product to keep a soft, handwoven wool from stretching and moving when I appliqued silk designs to it. Worked like a charm! No distortion.

22-11-2024I use this almost exclusively for doing FSL (Free Standing Lace) embroidery. I have excellent results using this product. It holds up well and dissolves clean afterwards with warm to hot water. At 12 wide it wont fit my largest hoop but other than that, it works great.

> 3 dayAlthough not typically used in jersey making, I use this product at hems. It really cuts down on how much the double needle draws the fabric into a ridge. And best of all it washes away when finished.

> 3 dayGood quality lightweight product to used when embroidering on anything with a texture. It allows the design to sew smoothly without interference of naps or pile.

> 3 dayUse this Sulky Solvy Water Soluble stabilizer whenever you are machine embroidering anything with a nap, like towels, fleece, etc. The solvy holds the nap down while the machine embroiders so there is not poke thorough of fabric while embroidering. If you have a baste-in-the-hoop function on your embroidery machine, you should baste this down on top of your hooped fabric and stabilizer. If you are embroidering stand alone lace designs, you will want to hoop at least two layers, depending on the density of your design. Most of the time the extra stabilizer just pulls away from the stitches when you are done. I would recommend removing as much excess stabilizer as you can before washing your finished product. It is easy to use, and is a light film. When washed it is completely gone from your embroidery. Every machine embroidery owner needs a good water soluble stabilizer and Sulky has one here.

> 3 daySulky makes one of the best water soluble stabilizer for the home embroidery enthusiast. It makes a great top layer for terry cloth projects, and double it up for projects like patches or free standing lace. I can not recommend this enough for home embroidery fanatics like me.
