Im enjoying this stabilizer. Although its water soluble, it also tears away very easily. I mostly use it as a top floating piece due to the detail and depth of some of the embroidery designs I use. They are very detailed with lots of colors. This helps a lot. And it does wash out well too.

A little flimsy feeling to work with making it difficult to align with fabric in the hoop.

This product is fantastic for not only machine embroidery, but also for sewing on towels, fake furs, or anything that requires a little help for your machine to sew smoothly. I use it for applique, quilting, embroidery etc.

I used this for sewing the edges of lycra and it was awesome. I found that if I used a piece that was 2 wide I could even reuse the rest that I tore off.

I ordered this to use to help stabilize minky fabric appliqués for cutting and sewing. When I received it, it wasnt exactly what I was hoping for, but I figured out a way to make it work really well for my needs. I jus cut out a piece of minky that will fit my appliqué shape and cut a piece of solvy in the same size. I then soak the minky with a spray bottle of water and put the solve on top. The solve melts into the fabric and once it dries, it is nice and stiff for cutting and sewing my appliqués. Once I get everything together, I just throw the completed item in the wash and it come out perfect every time.

My favorite water soluble stabilizer for fabric embroidery projects that are washable such as these little angel ornaments. It’s a quality product that’s easy to use yet is string enough for delicate machine embroidery.
