> 3 dayI have been using Sulky Solvy for almost a year to make great Shabby Chic scarves, and it holds together many layers of fibers - fabric, yarn, angelina fibers... you name it! Once I have it all stitched up, the stabilizer rinses out, leaving a great-looking scarf. This size is perfect for the project, as I like to make the scarves about 6 inches wide... I lay out my fibers on one half, then fold the other half over and pin in place. I understand you can also press together using a pressing cloth, but I havent tried that yet.

> 3 dayI just started the hobby of machine embroidery and this topping is one of the first things that I found was necessary for some type of fabrics, especially those that have a deep pile or texture. Most of it rips off fairly easily after embroidering but the rest has to be removed with water. It is very sticky when wet but does fully dissolve. It’s not as easy to use as I would like since it is very thin and clingy but I find that floating it on top of the hoop works best for me. I did use the suggestion to dissolve the excess pieces in hot water and I put that into a spray bottle and found that it worked well to stiffen the fabric. However I found that the mixture in the plastic bottle spoiled and turned gray. I then read a hint that adding rubbing alchohol to the mixture keeps it from going bad so I tried that and so far, so good. It does the job that I need it to do so I will continue to purchase it.

> 3 dayI love how strong this stabilizer is. I had a friend that asked me to machine embroider poems on some handkerchiefs for her for her wedding. I remembered that I used this before for some free standing lace projects I was doing and decided to give it a try. I used a different stabilizer on the back and this on the front. It worked great. It gave the fabric the extra stabilization that it really needed and then easily washed away.

> 3 dayI am very new to machine embroidery and I purchased this item as sort of a must-have starter list. It is perfect for use as floater stabilizer for the top of towels and fleeced materials. It is less perfect as a base for free-standing lace projects - two layers are a must! I will buy it again.

> 3 dayI purchased the Sulky 9 yard Solvy water soluble stabilizer for my embroidery projects. This product has made a significant difference in the quality of my embroidery work. The stabilizer is very easy to use and dissolves quickly in water without leaving any residue. It provides excellent support to the fabric during embroidery, preventing any puckering or stretching. The end result is a flawless embroidery design that looks professional and polished for sure!
