Replaced existing hinges perfectly. I wish you could buy singles, I only needed three and had to buy two 2 packs.

This offset hinge works very well. It allows the door to swing all the way back out of the doorway opening so that you have the full width clear to navigate through. Surprisingly, it doesnt make the door swing oddly as I imagined it would - it just seamlessly swings wider. I dont think most people using the door would even notice any difference vs. a regularly-hinged door unless they use a wheelchair and had to navigate through - then YOU BET they notice how nice and wide the opening is! This product adds about 2 to the opening of the door.

These work great. I got a full 2-1/4” widening of the door opening for my wife’s bathroom. She is confined to a wheelchair with a custom armrest for her paralysed left arm. I was damaging both the armrest and the door getting her wheelchair through the door after a tight 90 degree turn out of the hall. I have been looking for ways to gain at least 3/4 inch without major remodeling. INSTALLATION NOTE: Put the new offset hinges on the door first; it is too tight to get a screwdriver to put the screws into the door with the hinge already mounted into the jamb (risk of stripping screws).

First of all the concept for these hinges is great. My husband fell and broke not only his arm but also his hip. We have spent going on 8 months on corrective surgeries. And while he has been in therapy learning to walk again his therapist told him about these hinges that would add roughly 2” to the door frames for wheel chairs and walkers, since my husband is very tall and will now have a extreme limp. They do add quite a bit to the jam but they are difficult to put on. Additionally the door will no longer be in alignment. At all. I have some doors that won’t close, period. Like they have to be shaved to close. Some close just barely but now they don’t match the previous strike point to latch and will require an entirely new jam to be installed. The doors prior to installing were level and closed fine but now each and every door is messed up. Because we need the clearance we are calling it a loss and unfortunately will either just take the doors off or figure something else out. It’s not worth the money these cost to mess up our doors and jams.

Used in my parents home to give extra clearance for wheelchair passage. A bit pricey, but still cheaper than to custom order them.

If you only need 1-2 additional inches for your doorways to accommodate a walker or a wheelchair, these hinges are wonderful.

This is an excellent product for wheelchair users. It allows the door to open about and inch more to accommodate a wheelchair or walker. They really made a difference in our home.
