> 3 dayI am going back to school. From my previous college days, I was using a TI 82. This is much better. The screen is easier to see and it give answers in easy to use format instead of just giving a decimal answer. This has, however, caused me some issues on several math tests. If the majority of the problems you are working on will require a decimal answer, change the setting to approximate instead of exact. If you dont change that setting, you can still get a decimal answer by hitting [ctrl] [enter] instead of just [enter]. If you do hit [enter] then try to view the decimal answer by hitting [ctrl] [enter] be sure to check the screen to see what it calculated. Sometimes it repeats the last calculation on the formula you are using so instead of a numerator divided by a denominator it gives you the numerator divided by the denominator divided by the denominator. You just have to verify what it calculated. I am still trying to figure out the Documents feature but overall, I am extremely happy with this calculator. If there is a drawback with this unit, it is in the documentation. They could have provided more examples of how to use the features. I am using YouTube videos to cover what I still need to learn.

Greater than one weekIt makes calculus super easy. 10/10, absolutely worth the price tag.

> 3 dayIf youre hoping to jump up from the Ti 83/84 you may have used in grade school to this thing, well its nothing like those calculators. The user interface is very picky and the mouse isnt the best. The calculator does all kinds of stuff but good luck figuring out how to do it, Even plotting a graph from points and tracing it requires going through a couple windows. I couldnt just pick up the Nspire from the 83/84 and figure it out. Ive been having to watch multiple videos and reading the manual to figure it out. Its obvious this calculator is capable of a great many things but figuring it all out will take a while. If you dont need all of these features maybe look at something more simple.

Greater than one weekI am horrible at math. I mean HORRIBLE! I bought this at the tail end of my algebra class and it was okay for what use I got out of it. Now I’m in Chemistry and omg, it has helped me so much! It’s been trial and error in trying to figure out the functions of this calculator but for someone who’s never used something like this, it was easy enough. I’m excited to use it in my Statistics class next term.

> 3 dayThis may be the best calculator on the market, it definitely wasnt for me though! I figure it is more for programming than mathematics but I may be mistaken. The full keyboard served no purpose for me. I did not like the rocker type buttons for common math functions. I didnt like the scratch pad or the software layout. The keys were nowhere near a TI normal layout. I could go on....... Im a TI fan, been using them since the 90s but this one was not for me. I sent it back and replaced it with an HP Prime. Hopefully itll be a better fit for me.

> 3 dayThis is the ultimate calculator. I used to have a TI 84 Plus CE but once I hit Calc 3 it no longer was able to keep up with the level of math concepts I was being taught. This calculator has so many available functions and the ability to simply type on the keyboard makes it even better. Totally worth every penny.

> 3 dayIt has really saved me when it comes to class but the learning curve for some of the advanced functions is steep.

> 3 dayIf your kiddo (or you) plan to use this behind algebra, then this is a good buy. I got this for my kid in 8th grade for algebra because he is bent toward math, physics and engineering. It is a complex tool with functions the basic algebra teacher will not have an appreciation for your kiddo using. My son used his class ser TI-82 for most work and this little computer mainframe in a calculator package here for his homework and other inventions. It does a lot. It is expensive if you are just using for algebra one year.
