Best Christmas Present for the ladies (and sister-in-laws) in your life! The price was right too!

Nice standard umbrella. Compact size when folded, good coverage when opened. Have not tested it yet. Just received it.

Water beads off it. Thought from the description that the umbrella would be big and heavy but it seems strong and light.

Best umbrella Ive owned, and now I have 2 of them (one stays in the car) to make sure I stay dry in this surprisingly wet California winter.

Bought this one to keep in the car door pocket. Its the perfect size and is ever handy for those days that we drive into the rain.

While the umbrella is made to be super strong, the plastic parts that give the curve to the canvas broke. No way to replace just that part. Have to buy another one. Thats a waste and not worth the extra you pay to get a super strong umbrella that doesnt break under moderate winds. A pity.

I have bought two of these. the first one worked like a champ and will do so again as you will see in a minute. The first one has a broken rib so it dangles a bit when opened, so i decided to get a second one, and use the first as a back up. So i get the second one, and have used it for about a month though not as often as the first. All went well, until last night. i had opened it when i got home to let it dry out. i went to close it, and when i pressed the button, it did something to the whole mechanism and i could not get the darn thing closed. or reset. or anything. it is now in the trash bin.Okay, i understand that things break, it is the way of things, especially anymore, but considering the price, which while not stratospheric it does pinch a bit, i would have expected better. Heck, i would have expected better from the Totes brand. I have lost many an umbrella, but this is the first one i have owned that just flat out packed it in. i take the bus. had it pulled those stunts there, it would have been a mess....

This is my first Titan. Unfortunately, it looks and feels like most other Totes umbrellas. Im not confident in their 70MPH wind claim. Looking at the top of the umbrella shows the same top most weak umbrellas have which fall off after a short while. Except the top on this one is polished. The handle is the only exception where you can see the quality difference. Its better looking and more substantial. I might have overpaid for the fancy Titan name on the package, but well see. 3 stars because, like I said, it looks and feels similar to other Totes. Ill change the review rating if anything changes. I added a photo for size comprison and one of the polished top which doesnt exude strength.

They said it withstands winds up to 70 mph. I had a previous umbrella that said that, but it did not work! The previous umbrella I had from Macys would open and close, but was very hard to push in and one day after coming home out of the rain, I threw it down the trash chute! I will respond again after using this Totes for a while. UPDATE: I USED THE UMBRELLA FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY. IT IS A DECENT SIZE, BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK STRONG AND I AM SURE IT CANNOT STAND STRONG WINDS BECAUSE AN EARLIER BOUGHT UMBRELLA, WHICH WAS STRONGER, COULD NOT STAND THE WIND. ALSO, OPEN AND CLOSE UMBRELLAS ARE NOT GOOD FOR SENIORS OR SOMEONE WHO IS WEAK IN THE ARMS BECAUSE IT IS ALSO HARD TO PUSH IN. AND, YOU HAVE TO PUSH IT IN BEFORE YOU CAN MAKE IT GO UP AGAIN BECAUSE I TRIED IT YESTERDAY. I CLOSE BY PUSHING HANDLE INTO CHEST OR WITH BOTH HANDS IF I AM NOT CARRYING ANYTHING. I DONT LIKE TO CARRY AROUND LONGER UMBRELLAS, SO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THESE SMALLER ONES. WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT, THEY USED TO SELL UMBRELLAS THAT WERE A LITTLE LONGER, LARGER AND STRONGER. I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ONE OF THOSE. MY MOTHER HAS A DUCK FACED ONE, WHICH IS LARGER THAN THIS ONE. SO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UMBRELLA FOR STRONG WINDS! FINALLY, AFTER USING UMBRELLA AGAIN, I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR A LONG AND BIGGER UMBRELLA. I WAS GETTING VERY WET TODAY BECAUSE THE UMBRELLA HARDLY GIVES ANY PROTECTION. I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE SMALL UMBRELLAS, ESPECIALLY ONES THAT OPEN AND CLOSE WITH SAME BUTTON. THEY ARE A PAIN!!! PEOPLE WALKED PAST ME TODAY WITH THE EXTRA LARGE ONES THAT NEED TO BE ON A BEACH!!!

Fabric seems a bit cheap but its light and the bones seem strong.
