Greater than one weekI wanted a sturdy umbrella after having several cheaper ones break. This umbrella is a little heavier than others but very wide and well made. Now if I can only keep from losing it!

> 3 dayBought this as a stocking stuffer for Christmas and we tried it for the first time this morning (nothing but snow prior to today). Upon opening one of the supporting springs fell out and another broke free on one end. Pathetic. Would not recommend.

> 3 dayIt is strong enough that can bear most wind in daily life. The auto open and close unit is smooth. I give four star because I dont appreciate the so-called life-long warranty of totes. You should pay additional fee for warranty and cannot get warranty in store.

> 3 dayThis is a well built umbrella. Has stood up well so far (2 winters).

> 3 dayDefinetly a good umbrella, folds up to a small size that you can carry in your briefcase. Down here in Florida, I have used it alot. Wind resistance is good and it expands to a reasonable width to keep you dry.

> 3 dayThey said it withstands winds up to 70 mph. I had a previous umbrella that said that, but it did not work! The previous umbrella I had from Macys would open and close, but was very hard to push in and one day after coming home out of the rain, I threw it down the trash chute! I will respond again after using this Totes for a while. UPDATE: I USED THE UMBRELLA FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY. IT IS A DECENT SIZE, BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK STRONG AND I AM SURE IT CANNOT STAND STRONG WINDS BECAUSE AN EARLIER BOUGHT UMBRELLA, WHICH WAS STRONGER, COULD NOT STAND THE WIND. ALSO, OPEN AND CLOSE UMBRELLAS ARE NOT GOOD FOR SENIORS OR SOMEONE WHO IS WEAK IN THE ARMS BECAUSE IT IS ALSO HARD TO PUSH IN. AND, YOU HAVE TO PUSH IT IN BEFORE YOU CAN MAKE IT GO UP AGAIN BECAUSE I TRIED IT YESTERDAY. I CLOSE BY PUSHING HANDLE INTO CHEST OR WITH BOTH HANDS IF I AM NOT CARRYING ANYTHING. I DONT LIKE TO CARRY AROUND LONGER UMBRELLAS, SO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THESE SMALLER ONES. WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT, THEY USED TO SELL UMBRELLAS THAT WERE A LITTLE LONGER, LARGER AND STRONGER. I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ONE OF THOSE. MY MOTHER HAS A DUCK FACED ONE, WHICH IS LARGER THAN THIS ONE. SO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UMBRELLA FOR STRONG WINDS! FINALLY, AFTER USING UMBRELLA AGAIN, I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR A LONG AND BIGGER UMBRELLA. I WAS GETTING VERY WET TODAY BECAUSE THE UMBRELLA HARDLY GIVES ANY PROTECTION. I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE SMALL UMBRELLAS, ESPECIALLY ONES THAT OPEN AND CLOSE WITH SAME BUTTON. THEY ARE A PAIN!!! PEOPLE WALKED PAST ME TODAY WITH THE EXTRA LARGE ONES THAT NEED TO BE ON A BEACH!!!

> 3 dayTheres a bright yellow caution label on the strap that wraps around the umbrella to hold it together. When youre using the umbrella, the yellow looks stupid against a black umbrella. You cant cut off the whole label; the yellow part is sewn to it with the same stitching that holds the velcro strap on. They should have made the part that cant be cut off black, and put the yellow at the end thats easy to cut off. The umbrella itself works well.

> 3 daySolid umbrella but internal components have sharp edges and do not look any different from other lower cost and quality Totes umbrellas. Love the wide velcro closure and has a very smooth open and close.
