> 24 hourOkay, here is the deal. I purchased and was expecting a seamless Alexa integration, like my other 3rd party plugs. That was not the case. The directions suck, pure and simple. When you contact Treat Life Customer Service, there is a communication and time zone issue, where as I suspect is in a country that is far away from the USA. Takes days for a response and their response needs interpretation and breakdown. Treat Life or Smart Life, pick on and stick with it. I recommend Smart Life. We got both the Treat Life and Smart Life apps to work with minimal difficulty; the problem came when we tried to connect it to Alexa. After weeks of trying everything, calling Amazon, contacting Treat Life numerous (way too many) times, we gave up. I initiated a return and wrote a scathing review. We loved the dimmer plug and ability to dim our string lights, so we decided to give it one last try. I called Amazon again. The Amazon Tech (Aaron was awesome, by the way) was determined to find out why the Treat Life Dimmer Plug wouldnt connect to Alexa. After close to an hour of a determined Tech - problem was resolved and we now LOVE our Treat Life Dimmer Plug; the Treat Life company, not so much. Here is what happened and I want to point out, this has never happened with any of our other 3rd party plugs. The Echos were purchased under my husbands Amazon account. I have a joint account. I was trying to activate the skill via my Amazon Alexa app. Once I activated the skill via my husbands Amazon Alexa app - it worked. We are now happy. I cancelled the return and deleted the original review. Exterior Dimmer Plug is great and we recommend the product.

> 24 hourI was dubious about loading yet another app but it was fairly simple to setup and use. I can still operate manually as well. The ability to set on/off and dim setting schedules is great and will buy more of these for other applications as I think of them. I have a mesh router so connectivity is no problem.

> 24 hourOk, lets start with the good. It definitely works with SmartThings It definitely works with Google Assistant Now that I have it installed and have my patio covered in string lights, I love it. Now the bad: Last night when I was trying to get it working with SmartThings, I was not loving it... at all. It you have SmartThings and want to use this Treatlife outdoor dimmer, read this first. Setup an account with Smart Life first, download the app. It looks like a little house with a blue background and two waves on the roof. This is the first hurdle, it is in the app store from Volcano Technology. I kept looking for it under Tuya, thats who used to make the app. Add the device as a dimmer switch wifi. The picture wont match the device, plug in the adapter to an a/c outlet, the light should blink. Now let the app search for it, now it will add a device that looks like what you are trying to use. Now go into SmartThings and add the device, search by brand for Smart Life (two words), then choose outlet. Youll see a message compatible but not certified in United States click on the Smart Life icon, select your location and room. It will all you for your account info, this is why you set up the account earlier, you cant do it here. If everything goes ok, it should say successfully connected to Smart Life. Now the device can be configured in SmartThings, and used like any other device. If you have SmartThings linked to Google, have Google update devices and it should show up in the Google home app. I hope this saves you the hours I spent putting these pieces together.

> 24 hourIt is great being able to run this from your phone. The app has a lot of options and is easy to use once you play with it a bit to understand the interface. Be aware though, that if you are going to use this with lights that have their own control box, it may nor work. I tried using it with Philips 70 mini lights - 8 color and motion effects. Even with the dimmer set to 100% these lights would not turn on at all. On Standard and LED Dimmable strands though, they work well.

> 24 hourEasy to use smart plug with dimming feature. The App found and added the device effortlessly. Just wish it has a slightly longer cord. but still better than having to be plugged into the socket directly and taking up the whole thing.

> 24 hourI love this product so much Ive even bought some for my friends. The app is simple and easy to use, youve got a ton of options with it, and I can preset everything so that I dont have to worry about it. Schedules, routines, brightness, theres nothing this thing cant do. I would highly recommend getting this for your lighting needs!

> 24 hourSo I had this Treatlife Smart Dimmer plug for a few weeks, controlling my outdoor patio lights. Synced very fast with Alexa and life was good. Then one day it stopped working, the light turned on once and then off. So I tried a hailmary and reached out to the seller. Guess what they shipped a replacement two days after I emailed them. Now thats service and just like before quick and easy sync with Alexa and now we have smart lights once again on the patio. Great item and even better seller.

> 24 hourBought this for my classroom set of string lights after reading a review by another teacher. The app used by the dimmer switch is compatible with Alexa, which is a cool feature. It was a bit tricky to set up as you must use a 3G network to connect to the app... and our school does not have that option. Took it home and was able to switch my phone to our 3G network, then find the dimmer switch through the app and connect it. Once that was done, the switch worked at school just fine wirelessly with my phone no matter which network I used. Initially had some trouble getting it connected to the app and contacted their support team, who was very responsive and helpful. All in all, the steps are fairly easy to follow but for anyone who is relatively unfamiliar with connecting wireless devices that are incompatible with 5G networks, it may end up feeling frustrating. I can just picture my parents losing their minds trying to figure out what in the world to do. The app coincidentally connected with my daughters LED lights so now she can use Alexa to turn them off and on...something Id not really thought to take time to do beforehand.

> 24 hourI bought this dimmer 2+ years ago. I moved houses and changed routers, and I think I messed with it so much it got stuck thinking it was connected to a wrong WiFi address and had some trouble resetting it. After contacting customer support, they went out of there way to give me great directions, and after finding out something went wrong with the product, they stood by their product and helped me get a working one. They truly cared about me and my experience, the app works flawlessly to control everything, and instantly connected during setup. It does exactly what you think - provides a good app to smart control multiple strings of LED lights by turning them on, off, and with dimming levels.
