20-11-2024I have a 2020 Honda Civic Sport that was starting to have a tick from a lifter after 100,000 miles even though I am SUPER diligent with synthetic oil changes. Since I drive so much, I usually trade in my car every year, but this year the car prices are crazy high - so I decided I should hang on to this one for a few and need it to last. Added TriboTEX and I can’t believe how quiet my engine is now. It even feels like power has improved. My civic always gets great gas mileage so I can’t really say if that improved or not, but it definitely made the car run a lot smoother.

> 3 dayUnsure how well it works. Doesn’t kick in until 500 miles somehow. Suggested at every oil change. Too soon to tell if it makes any difference.

> 3 day2006 2.5L altima. My motor did get quieter. Its hard to test “vibration levels” and fuel economy promise but i figure if it got quieter its doing everything else it says it does. Reccomend the product for your everyday car and MAKE SURE YOU GO TO WEBSITE TO GET EXACT INSTRUCTIONS. Packaging does not come with them. Also dont add additive while the car is running (dont try it just take my word).

> 3 dayBought this as preventative maintenance for my 2000 Prius with 167k miles. Within 5 minutes of installation into a fresh oil change the car became so quiet I could no longer tell the engine was running. It wasnt loud before, but now it was silent. I reset my mileage calculator on the dash which previously had me getting a solid 40mpg +/- 1mpg. It has been steadily climbing. Now that Ive crossed the 500 mile mark Im getting a solid 44.7mpg. Im wondering if it will increase further but am very pleased with the improvement thus far. Its not cheap but I like to take care of my older car anyway and if this gets me another 40k miles of trouble free operation then it is priceless. I will reorder in 40k miles as recommended.

> 3 dayTribotex is one oil additive I would recommend to anyone who is willing to give it a try. I have two cars I added tribotex to...Honda civic that has 260 thousand miles and a ford freestyle. The Honda has a lot more horsepower and the engine ran a lot smoother and quieter. The freestyle has 230 thousand miles and the miles per gallon is increasing by 3-4 plus it runs really smooth. It’s good stuff for me and it works! I recommended it to my friends and family! If they wanted proof I just let them drive my car so they could tell the difference and make them a believer. So...if you’re reading this review, try it! You won’t regret it!

> 3 dayI added this to my Land Rover TDi. 135k. It works. Ive always been a bit skeptical about stuff on the internet (and even sometimes Amazon), but it works. After only 200 miles, my car is smoking way less, and the leaks that were there are just not happening. Im frankly shocked. The blow-by that was happening has been significantly reduced. I also want to add that the folks at Tribotex were helpful in suggesting other causes/fixes for my issues. I had already done them, so it didnt seem to matter here for this successful usage, but I was pleased at their holisitic customer service!

> 3 dayI have an 05 Escalade with a 5.3, it has 222,000 miles on it now. I drive it approximately 75 miles a day back and forth to work. Occasionally after just starting it in the morning with the oil pressure low and have only driven a few miles in stop and go traffic, at idle a loud lifter tap would start and stay tapping until i was able to get the RPMs and oil pressure up a little then it would stop every time. Its been doing this off and on for more than a year. I have tried Marvel Mystery Oil which helped somewhat, the tapping not as severe and went away quickly. PROLONG oil treatment did not seem to have much effect. I added the Tribo TEX two weeks ago now and have drivin around 900 miles. I have not heard a lifter tap since adding it, even in the mornings at low RPM and oil pressure. I am going to give it a couple of months then I will update this review again. But so far so GREAT!

> 3 dayIll admit initially I was a skeptic, at $99.00, I was expecting snake oil in a fancy package that had little to no effect on my cars performance. I cannot believe how wrong I was. I used this on my 1986 BMW 325es that was running on its last leg. It smoked, burned oil, got terrible fuel economy (23 HWY, ~18 CITY) and was very loud. I had zero expectations for this product and thought trying this seemed better than driving it to the scrap yard. I dont know if it was a placebo effect but I almost immediately noticed an improvement in my cars performance. It was quieter than before, less engine noise. The most drastic change was the 100-200 mile where the car steadily decreased the amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust. After 300 miles, the smoke was gone, and I checked my fuel economy on a highway trip and had it at 31 MPG. Count me a TriboTEX fan! I have never used a oil additive that had results, let alone the results I achieved with a tube of this. Definitely will purchase again!
