> 24 hourExcellent tie-dye kit!! I put the shirts we dyed in zip lock bags. The directions say to keep the dyed shirts in a bag for 6-8 hours before hanging to dry. My kids had so much fun dying their shirts. We did tshirts and tank tops. My kids ages are 4, 6, and 8. I had to help the 4 year old a little bit. The older two did just fine on their own. This is very messy so be prepared to have dye all over. We did this outside in the grass which worked out well. Dye got on our folding table, but came off instantly with a magic eraser sponge. Great experience! :)

> 24 hourThis is a great little tie dye kit to get a large amount of fabric dyed. The bottles are a nice size and easy to prepare. It comes with rubber bands but I would but extra if youre using for a party. I also would buy different gloves to use, but the ones in the kit will suffice if need be. I would personally buy the 1oz squeeze bottles to fill and 4 or 5 to give to each child to use if I were using for a party or group, I would find it difficult for everyone to use if only sharing the main bottles and they can be harder to control the amount- easily using up most of one color if you have one that isnt mindful of what they are doing. Other than that, great value for the money

> 24 hourEverything was mostly good. I have used this brand in the past with other tie dye projects, first time ordering it through Amazon though. I opened my package and saw the orange bottle was opened a bit and some of the powder had spilled. Just thought Id mention it.

> 24 hourI have never tie dyed before, but now that I am required to wear a mask all day at work, I decided I needed to have a LOT of masks, and a LOT of fun! I had to wait on this kit, as they were out of stock when I ordered it, but it came before they initially predicted, so no complaints there. OH. MY. GOSH. The COLOR! Just LOOK at these finished masks! I used 100% cotton, pre-washed as suggested, and followed all the directions. This is after 2 trips through the washer on hot. I am absolutely THRILLED with the results. Would absolutely recommend this tie dye kit, and will purchase again if I decide to do more tie dying. The only suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is to include 2 bottles of yellow, as that is the one color I nearly ran out of. I had plenty of all the other colors, and froze 2 ice-cube trays worth to try a different method later. If that works out, I will add pics at a later date. Also, I bought a bag of smaller rubber bands, as the ones included with the kit were for larger projects. In the meantime, I will be having fun at work with all the variety!

> 24 hourWe have two sons who enjoy a good tie dying of shirts and themselves every once in a while. I ended up purchasing this kit so they would both be able to make a shirt for an upcoming school event. The colors came out great and I enjoy how the kit came with everything - rubber bands, gloves, table cloth. The one down fall is that the gloves didnt protect our hands as much as I would have liked so definitely put a rubber pair under them. Other than that it was super easy to use and I would recommend this kit.

> 24 hourI bought the dye so my students can create tye-dye socks and t-shirts for World Downs Syndrome Day. The kids had a lot of fun twisting and tying and putting color on the material. We let it all sit for 24 hours and then washed the products. (Cotton t-shirts and socks) When they came out of the wash ALL of the socks were white and blue only. All of the red, yellow, and green colors were washed out. I re-read the directions (I am a teacher) and made sure that the instructs that came with the product were followed to the letter. We prewashed the fabric and dried it and added water to the dye bottle, filling to line. (note how it does not say a particular temperature) Then it says to apply dye to the fabric (doesnt say anything about using rubber bands to create the tye-dye effect). We then wrapped and covered the fabric overnight and rinsed it well with water as instructed. Here it says to cut rubber bands (note, nowhere before does it say to wrap the fabric using the bands). Not even in the tips does it suggest anything. So before you lose money on this product as I did - according to their website it says: 1) Use WARM water to mix the dye. Hot water will break it down, and cold water will cause it to undissolved. 2) Use rubberbands on fabric to help create a nice pattern. 3) SOAK MATERIAL IN VINEGAR to saturate BEFORE you apply the dye. 4) Use dye to create patterns 5) Let sit overnight or up to 24 hours. 6) Rinse in COLD water thoroughly to remove the excess dye. 7) Washing in WARM water is the final step. Hope yours works out well using these revised steps from the internet. I am truly disappointed in the Tulip brand that I came to know and love for years.

> 24 hourI have a bunch of old white T’s I wanted to spruce up. MAKE SURE THE SHIRT IS DAMP/WET BEFORE YOU START I PROMISE IT WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Anyways, The dye process was fine, rubber bands are too small so I used my own, the gloves had holes in them so my hands were stained, the provided table cloth was nice though I recommend dying everything you plan to dye in one sitting. It took literally forever to rinse the dye out after letting it sit for 8 hours so Halfway through (I dyed 8 shirts) i gave up hand rinsing and just threw them all in the washer and washed them with detergent and everything. The colors were a bit more muted but after an initial sink rinse and then into the washer, they didn’t bleed onto each other which was a relief. And despite the struggle, I really love my new dyed shirts and would definitely get this again.
