Greater than one weekOur family used this kit to make some shirts. We made 4 shirts and still have many colors to use for future projects. I was amazed at how well the tie dye turned out! Just like the pictures included with the instructions. We washed the shirts according to the instructions, and the colors have remained vibrant and permanent over several washings. It’s a messy project, so I would recommend working on it outside. But it was super fun, we have great shirts, and we can’t wait to do more. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayExcellent product with so many colors for your tie dye! The box instructions are absolutely correct when addressing that the fabric needs to be 100% for the color to stick. I successfully made 6 t-shirts, two pairs of underwear, a hand towel, two masks, and a cardigan.

Greater than one weekWe purchased this refill kit in addition to the kit that comes in the plastic box. We weren’t sure how much dye we would need to make 10 preschool sized tshirts and 9 adult sized tshirts. We needed both sets and had some dye left over. The colors are vibrant and I would definitely buy this again. (I wish they just sold little envelopes of the dye so you could reuse your bottles instead of gaming to purchase more bottles).

> 3 dayThe dyes seem vibrant when youre dying. Some Colorado stayed vibrant. Others look terrible after 1 wash. Wet article of clothing prior. Let the dye sit over night. Rinsed before washing. Washed article of clothing by itself. My one and only suggestion is to not use the black. It seems to be the worst of the fading colors. Will try a different brand dye next time.

> 3 dayHad a blast using this tie dye kit with boys ranging in ages from 4-8!! We were able to make 4 youth tee shirts, 4 bandanas, and 2 adult tank tops with dye leftover. A few recommendations: 1. Wear Rubber gloves 2. Buy bulk white bandanas to use up extra dye if you don’t want any to go to waste 3. Plan ahead and launder the items you will dye the day before 4. The instructions say to machine wash each item individually after letting the dye set. In the interest of avoiding 10 loads of laundry with only one item in each, I thoroughly (and I mean THOROUGHLY) washed and rung out each item in a utility sink with hot water. I didn’t stop rinsing until the water coming out of the shirts was almost completely clear. Then I washed all of the freshly tie dyed items together in one load and had no problems. I did wash them on their own a few more times before adding with regular laundry 5. Don’t oversaturate! 6. If working with kids, do it outside if possible All of us loved this kit and the kids can’t wait to get another one and tie dye again!!

> 3 dayWe did 10 adult shirts, 6 toddler shirts and 1 giant muslin blanket (75x55). Everything was pretty saturated! We did go through all the color, we wouldve liked more yellow and the bright green to add more brightness that wasnt multiple shades of pink or red. So I would buy extras of those colors. However, it was a great starter kit!! Attached are the 11 items I have.
