> 3 dayWe purchased this refill kit in addition to the kit that comes in the plastic box. We weren’t sure how much dye we would need to make 10 preschool sized tshirts and 9 adult sized tshirts. We needed both sets and had some dye left over. The colors are vibrant and I would definitely buy this again. (I wish they just sold little envelopes of the dye so you could reuse your bottles instead of gaming to purchase more bottles).

> 3 dayThis kit was pretty nice but I’d probably look for one with less colors & more of each color next time. We were able to do five shirts (2 long sleeve & hooded, all adult) & six masks & only had a few odd colors left over. I didn’t follow instructions but listened to my friends who had tie dyed before & let them sit in plastic wrap for 24 hours, then undid them all & let them air dry before rinsing & washing them. The photos are after unwrapping them, except for the adopt shirt, that was after washing. Colors were more vivid than I thought they’d be & not having to do the soda ash separately was nice, I remember that being another step & tie dye already requires a lot of patience. I had bought rubber bands of different sizes that made some designs easier because the kit only has one size. I also numbered the bottles on the bottom to make rainbows a little easier because they’re hard to tell apart once filled with water. Overall this was a pretty nice kit & the colors didn’t fade much after rinsing & washing & don’t seem to bleed in subsequent washings.

> 3 dayA m a z i n g!!!! Tie dye is the quarantine summer trend and thing to do as well, I bought this as a gift for my daughter’s 7th birthday and she loves it... and so do I! We’ve been having lots of fun tie dying different shirts, the colors are bright and very pigmented, we have done several styles and they all look great. We’ve done 5 shirts already and we still have a ton of color left, well worth the money, and I know it says the colors should be used quickly once prepared but we chose a few each time and even the ones prepared before are still going strong! I want to buy one for myself too

> 3 dayEasy to use with the prefilled dye containers. However two of the fifteen colors didnt have dye in them; teal and orange. The kids never knew the difference and had a blast. We dyed 10 Pillowcases and had remaining dye left over.

Greater than one weekI had a tie dye party and invited a bunch of friends, all in our mid to late twenties. So much fun! I will say that the for five thing is inaccurate - all together, we dyed four t-shirts, a tank top, an apron (mine - pic attached), a canvas bag, and TWELVE bandanas, and still had plenty of dye left.

Greater than one weekThe colors turned out fabulous! One of the best kits I’ve used for tie dying. Easy to use and I loved how bright the colors were after washing the shirts. We made 6 shirts and there was plenty of color left to do more shirts. We colored 3 adult shirts, 1 teen shirt, and 2 little kid sized shirts. It was fun for all. I highly recommend this kit. Easy for all ages. We didn’t like the gloves as they were not as thick as we’d like, but it mostly kept the color off our hands. So overall it was a fabulous set. I included a picture of the finished shirts to show the bright colors.

Greater than one weekI didn’t have the first clue about tie dye, so I ordered this kit. I was a little apprehensive about making sure I got it right and trying not to destroy my house in the process. This kit was at a great price point and seemed to be easy. So I decided to give it a shot. I was right! I’m incredibly impressed. The kit includes powdered dye that’s in bottles; just add water and shake. It also has a plastic table covering (note: it’s very small, and you may want to plan on a bigger one of your own for your table. It didn’t quite cover my modestly sized kitchen island.), gloves (but we opted to use our own better-fitting ones), and lots of rubber bands! I learned that we needed items with mostly natural fibers (at least 50% cotton, but more cotton = better), so I ordered cotton t-shirts, cotton hair scrunchies and cotton bath towels. The kit came with great step-by-step instructions, which included directions for folding different patterns. Perfect for a newbie! We also supplied our own plastic bags for letting the items stay damp and soak in their dye. I only have a couple of minor complaints. The table cloth was so small that it almost wasn’t worth it. Definitely plan on a larger one if you’re not dyeing alone. Some of the powder dust was on the outside of the bottles, but we noticed it and avoided a mess. Also, the kit claims it’s enough for 30 projects, but I’d say that’s a bit of an overstatement. We did four shirts and 10 scrunchies. I wouldn’t consider the scrunchies a whole project. I thought the towels would be perfect to count as the remaining projects, but we ended up not having quite enough dye to finish out our towels. We probably should’ve had an entirely separate kit for three towels. All in all, my kids and I had an absolute blast creating our items. I already want to order the kit again and find more things to tie dye!

> 3 dayFor only $14.00, this tie-dye kit is a must! Each color is in fairly small bottle, but the variety more than makes up for it. I was able to dye about 16 28” 100% cotton Tea towels using the entire kit. (Note that it’s short of the “30 projects” the box claims. Clearly, what they count as a single project must have been much smaller, maybe something like baby onesies. I would estimate this kit would make about 15+/- kids t-shirts, depending on size and how much dye gets wasted if drippings are not collected in buckets.) I let my towels sit for ~20 hours for maximum intensity (the instructions recommend 6-8 hours). They did fade a bit when washed, which is to be expected since no mordant is used, but the colors are still acceptably vibrant. My only criticism of the kit is that the pinks/reds/oranges (5 colors) are way too similar to each other and make the overall kit very red-heavy. Coral and Orange are nearly identical, as are Pink and Fuschia, which both look like diluted red Dye rather than nicely saturated pinks. Teal and Turquoise are also very similar, but the range of blues and greens is much more dynamic. The purples were fair and it definitely felt like there wasn’t enough yellow. Overall, this kit gets two thumbs up. It’s exceedingly easy to use for both children and adults. For the price, it was absolutely worth it!
