04-06-2025This kit was so easy to use! I got it for Easter to get creative in quarantine with the family. No one else had tie dyed before this except for myself. It was so fun to see everyone get into it and this kit made it super easy to facilitate a low stress & low mess activity! All the colors included are gorgeous—we were so impressed with the color selection and vibrancy. I wanted to note that after rinsing the items on day 2, we laid the shirts out to dry in the hot Texas sun (unintentionally because it took minutes lol). Then, we did an extra step of heat setting the items by ironing them before sticking everything in the wash. I think it really helped set the dye prior to first wash & resist color bleed. Note, Blue based colors seems to have the most bleed so be sure to rinse them extra well! We loved it so much, we may make this a family tradition every Easter!

Greater than one weekI used this kit to tie dye 8 items with my sister and our kids. First time tie dyers. It was fun! It was also hilarious because we are 2 women who cannot relax and tend to overthink everything. Can’t over think tie dyeing. Can’t really even anticipate how it will turn out. So, after some unnecessary stressing and surprisingly little mess every single one of our items came out beautiful. It was such a good memory making experience! Going to do it again but will stress less and enjoy the prices more. I do have a tip for you, though: make sure you wash your items first and do not use fabric softener before you tie dye. Also: use less dye than you think you need. We used all of it. Every single drop from all 15 bottles and it was too much. I realize now that this kit would have tie dyed at least 19 items had we not been so heavy handed with the dye.

> 3 dayWe purchased this refill kit in addition to the kit that comes in the plastic box. We weren’t sure how much dye we would need to make 10 preschool sized tshirts and 9 adult sized tshirts. We needed both sets and had some dye left over. The colors are vibrant and I would definitely buy this again. (I wish they just sold little envelopes of the dye so you could reuse your bottles instead of gaming to purchase more bottles).

Greater than one weekThe sky blue, pink and coral all washed out. Stick with darker colors for better results?

Greater than one weekWill buy this kit forever and eer and ever. INCREDIBLE. Only put water in 1/2 the colors for the first time tye dyeing. Was able to do 5 kid shirts, baby pants, baby tank, adult L shirt. I still have 1/2 the colors to use the next time we do it. I love that it comes in botles for easy use and easy clean up. will buy again and again.

Greater than one weekSo, in an effort to keep my kids engaged and off of electronics while isolated in the house we purchased this and lots of white clothing. We went through everything and I ended up dying pillow cases and really everything possible....and yes, I ended up.... I enjoyed this activity more than the kids and found it quite therapeutic. Ive purchased two if these kits and have enjoyed every drop of color. Just beware: the dye isnt great and washed out easily. Make sure and wash separately for the first few washes so that you dont stain other clothes

> 3 dayI didn’t have the first clue about tie dye, so I ordered this kit. I was a little apprehensive about making sure I got it right and trying not to destroy my house in the process. This kit was at a great price point and seemed to be easy. So I decided to give it a shot. I was right! I’m incredibly impressed. The kit includes powdered dye that’s in bottles; just add water and shake. It also has a plastic table covering (note: it’s very small, and you may want to plan on a bigger one of your own for your table. It didn’t quite cover my modestly sized kitchen island.), gloves (but we opted to use our own better-fitting ones), and lots of rubber bands! I learned that we needed items with mostly natural fibers (at least 50% cotton, but more cotton = better), so I ordered cotton t-shirts, cotton hair scrunchies and cotton bath towels. The kit came with great step-by-step instructions, which included directions for folding different patterns. Perfect for a newbie! We also supplied our own plastic bags for letting the items stay damp and soak in their dye. I only have a couple of minor complaints. The table cloth was so small that it almost wasn’t worth it. Definitely plan on a larger one if you’re not dyeing alone. Some of the powder dust was on the outside of the bottles, but we noticed it and avoided a mess. Also, the kit claims it’s enough for 30 projects, but I’d say that’s a bit of an overstatement. We did four shirts and 10 scrunchies. I wouldn’t consider the scrunchies a whole project. I thought the towels would be perfect to count as the remaining projects, but we ended up not having quite enough dye to finish out our towels. We probably should’ve had an entirely separate kit for three towels. All in all, my kids and I had an absolute blast creating our items. I already want to order the kit again and find more things to tie dye!
