We have two sons who enjoy a good tie dying of shirts and themselves every once in a while. I ended up purchasing this kit so they would both be able to make a shirt for an upcoming school event. The colors came out great and I enjoy how the kit came with everything - rubber bands, gloves, table cloth. The one down fall is that the gloves didnt protect our hands as much as I would have liked so definitely put a rubber pair under them. Other than that it was super easy to use and I would recommend this kit.

Ultimately, you need a lot of each color to really do anything. The description is misleading. Really, this could only serve a couple shirts. Id rather have more of fewer colors, then so little of so many colors. I bought it to use with my students, and it was barely enough of the fun colors

This was surprisingly easy to use. I bought this kit as a rainy day project for my 4 kiddos (ages 9, 4, 4, 1) they were all involved and had a lot of fun. We completed 15 projects between all the kids and had enough dye left over for a few more. Youth 16- 2 shorts, 2 tshirts, 1 pants. 5T- 2 hoodies, 4 shirts, 2T- 1 dress, 3 shirts. Colors are bright and holding well after washing. While we are all far from experts, everyone is happy and excited with how their new clothes turned out. They’re already asking for another kit and want to wear their creations tomorrow. (For better results than ours I would suggest watching a YouTube DIY video on how to fold and twist your material to make clearer designs.)

This kit was super easy to use. There are a lot of different colors and they are super vibrant on cotton. It came with plenty of heavy duty rubber bands. Was able to make far more than 5 shirts. Could have managed 10 t-shirts but a couple of sweatshirts wound up absorbing a lot of dye. After washing in the washing machine, it was easy to wipe down the machine without staining.

Loved this tie dye kit! Our family had a great time! We were just barely able to do 5 5T shirts and 6 adult sized shirts. The colors were all very pigmented and it was very easy to use. We wrapped our shirts in plastic bags and let them sit overnight before washing them out. Then washed them with in the bathtub until the water ran mostly clear, then put them in the washer! One tip, when you are filling up each bottle with water, fill it halfway first with warm water and shake it up so the powder doesn’t get stuck at the bottom. Also, right before you run out of a certain color, fill the bottle back up with water again and you’ll be able to use that color again, but it just be just a little lighter. This really helped us in extending the life of each color!

I love that this kit came with so many colors! I poured out about 1/2 the mix before adding water for softer colors. I did 5 shirts and still have tons more for other projects.

Best to get larger bottles for large projects. Color variety is great, but these bottles are small. This is good for kids shirt. I was dying three adult 3XL tshirts and a full size flat sheet. I ran out of colors fast.

For only $14.00, this tie-dye kit is a must! Each color is in fairly small bottle, but the variety more than makes up for it. I was able to dye about 16 28” 100% cotton Tea towels using the entire kit. (Note that it’s short of the “30 projects” the box claims. Clearly, what they count as a single project must have been much smaller, maybe something like baby onesies. I would estimate this kit would make about 15+/- kids t-shirts, depending on size and how much dye gets wasted if drippings are not collected in buckets.) I let my towels sit for ~20 hours for maximum intensity (the instructions recommend 6-8 hours). They did fade a bit when washed, which is to be expected since no mordant is used, but the colors are still acceptably vibrant. My only criticism of the kit is that the pinks/reds/oranges (5 colors) are way too similar to each other and make the overall kit very red-heavy. Coral and Orange are nearly identical, as are Pink and Fuschia, which both look like diluted red Dye rather than nicely saturated pinks. Teal and Turquoise are also very similar, but the range of blues and greens is much more dynamic. The purples were fair and it definitely felt like there wasn’t enough yellow. Overall, this kit gets two thumbs up. It’s exceedingly easy to use for both children and adults. For the price, it was absolutely worth it!

This an excellent set of tie dyes with various colors. Easy to use with well written instructions and diffrent ideas of how to tye dye. There was lot of diffrent shades of pink and reds , but only 1 green, 1 yellow and no gray or orther earth tones. This was a great for a bunch of us ( 6) to have fun and tie dye. I wanted to do more so i ordered Rit dye in diffrent colora so i could chose the colors I iike. Kit comes with rubber bands and a few sets of plastic gloves.
