> 3 dayMy kids and I really enjoyed using this kit. Theres a large variety of colors and they came out nice and vibrant even on the shirts that were 50/50 and not all cotton. The price couldnt be beat (I paid about $13 for the tie dye kit) and the amount of dye was perfect for the number of items we had. I made myself a shirt, my oldest son dyed a pair of shoes and six shirts, my second and third sons each did five shirts, and I did five onesies for my youngest. I wrapped each piece in plastic wrap and let everything sit for 24 hours before rinsing out the dye. I did a spin in the washing machine and then dried everything on hot to try and set the colors before washing with detergent. I dont know if it ultimately made any difference, but we were all happy with how everything turned out. This was a fun activity during the coronavirus stay at home order!

> 3 dayThis kit was awesome! I have purchased many other kits in the past and this was my favorite. We used it to let 6 kids dye their own shirts. Kit includes gloves for everyone, more than enough rubber bands, and more dye than we needed. I liked that they were in smaller bottles so several kids could each have their own bottles. I would make this purchase again. I let the dye sit for 3 days then rinsed in cold water and soaked in vinegar and hot water for 30 mins before 2 hot water rinses in the washing machine. The colors came out bright and defined!

> 3 dayThe best thing about this kit is that the bottles are pre-filled with the dye powder. Also, the bottles come with little caps so you can save leftover dye if you want to. This was a fun, easy for a range of ages and not as messy as youd think project for group of 15 or so people. Keep in mind, the dye needs to sit for 8 hours before the project is finished... so best for a sleepover type party if you want people to be able to take their projects home. If you care about dye staining hands, you might want to get better gloves, otherwise the gloves that come with the kit are hard to work with and kids will probably just take them off. The dye will wear off after a week and honestly was a non-issue for me. I will totally buy this again.

> 3 dayEasy to use, colors are pretty and vibrant. The black runs everywhere and ends up being navy blue. I recommend skipping the black color all together. It turned everything purple.

> 3 dayI had several bottles that leaked when shaking to mix. The cap was on correctly. Wont return because I still used them. Color is vibrant until you wash them, then it fades

Greater than one weekHaving never tie dyed before I read up on it and was prepared to soak the garments in a water and soda ash mix. So I washed the shirts as instructed: LITTLE soap and NO fabric softener. Keep in mind that fabric softeners COAT the fibers. If the fibers are coated in something then dye will not adhere to the item. This kit was plenty for 4 of us to do 2 shirts apiece. My son did one shirt having been wet and soaked in the soda ash mixture and the other dry and no soda ash of any kind. The results were the SAME! The dyes soaked in quite well, and we are pleased with our shirts. The dye will stain your hands for a few days if you dont wear gloves, but eventually it will wash off. After a few normal washes the shirts still look good and bright.

> 3 dayBought this kit mostly for the red and blue for 4th of July. The kit was easy to use and came with all the things you need including a plastic table cover, rubber bands and gloves. I removed a star because I was disappointed with how little the dye lasted, I understand that you’re supposed to use all the colors in the kit but we barely had enough red, blue, and turquoise to tie dye 3 kids shirts (2 XS and 1 S). There wasn’t any leftover to even tie dye an 18mo onesie. I had to order a separate kit to get more red and blue. The colors also did fade a bit after the first wash (we let the dye set wrapped in plastic for close to 24 hours). Other than that we had fun tie dying these shirts and will have fun with the rest of the colors too, just wish that there was more to each color bottle.
