TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

I dont know what is wrong with Intuit, but for the second year in a row I have purchased TurboTax Home and Business, had to take more than three hours waiting on the phone,talking with support, downloading removing and reinstalling programs, only to find out that out that the program doesnt work and they will be sending me a new disc to see if that works. I hope I can finish my taxes, but it is almost March now, and Im concerned about TurboTaxs ability to produce a product that works. It always seems full of problems, and I dont like the interface, often having to go to the forms to fill them out properly, and then having to check the result to ensure that TurboTax didnt duplicate anything, which it has done on more than one occasion.

I have used TurboTax for the past 3-4 years to file my taxes. It is super easy to use. I think this year they even improved on the user interface. It was more cost effective purchasing through Amazon.com then any other place I found (online or offline). I would recommend this product to anyone.

Once again, Turbotax has escorted me through the horribleterribleawful maze of filing Federal Income Tax. After ten years of experience with the software I feel it continues to improve and provide value. I have confidence that things are done correctly. Now, if it could prevent my harddrive from crashing, it would be the best ever.

Product is Great. I would give it a 5 if not for price. I started out with the product years ago when it was a low cost option. While it is not so inexpensive these days, it is still my choice.

We have been using TurboTax for over 10 years now. Always quick and easy. I definitely recommend using their Its Deductable site to track your donations during the year. One state form and federal e-filing if included, so most people will only have to pay to e-file the state return ($19.95)

Use for taxs

Wound up using and ready the IRS rules the old fashioned way. I felt the Turbo Tax just led you down a one way street

I run my own small business and have used TurboTax for some years now. I find it to be quite accurate - a very good tool for individuals and small businesses who prepare their own tax returns. I find that over the years it has become a bit busy with unnecessary screens touting additional services, but I understand the marketing aspect of all this. My one complaint is that I think the product is very overpriced. The profit margins must be incredible. I assume that they price it to come in just under what it would cost to have H&R do a simple return, and that is probably not a fair standard for the consumer even though it makes sense from TurboTaxs point of view.

I used TaxACT (TA) first for a tax assignment and then used TurboTax (TT) to compare and contrast - about 2 months ago. Back then, TT seemed a little bit more user-friendly than TA. I recall the language of TT was simpler, and the interface was nicer and simpler than TA. Overall, the impression I left with was that TT was simpler to use than TA.

This is the fifth year I have used TurboTax and really like it. It is flexible in its approach--either a led tour or you can just go to the forms you know you need. For people like us who used 5 or 6 schedules on the federal return this is an easy task.
