TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

Ive used TurboTax for about 6 years. Its generally a great time saving product. Every year it gets slightly better but it doesnt change much. When your situation is quite complicated you may need to do some additional research but this is always obvious when TuboTax fails to ask about something youve done. This has come up twice in the six years and I have always found out how to enter the information correctly with little complication. This year I switched from Windows to mac. I couldnt be happier about the easy transition. I moved my 2009 data file from the pc to the mac. I installed TurboTax on the mac. I started TurboTax and it immediately found the 2009 file. Doesnt matter where you put it on the mac. TT finds it and its 100% compatible. All my info was ready to go for 2010!

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2005 and it has been so helpful in doing my taxes. It guides you through every aspect of your taxes. It is EASY-PEASY.I love that it asks so many questions to get the most legal deductions possilbe. It also flags possible questions on deductions. I love the optional services of my taxes being reviewed by an expert.

I used a CPA for years to do my business taxes, but a few years ago I switched over to TurboTax. Now I can file my taxes each year for less than $100. My CPA out priced himself a few years back when he charged me over $250 to do my taxes.

Once again, Turbotax has escorted me through the horribleterribleawful maze of filing Federal Income Tax. After ten years of experience with the software I feel it continues to improve and provide value. I have confidence that things are done correctly. Now, if it could prevent my harddrive from crashing, it would be the best ever.

I was dissipointed in the way the state portion of this worked, I live in one state that does not have tax, and was trying to figure the tax on a state where I am working. It locked me in my home state.

We have prepared our own taxes for over 3 decades - and ours is far from a simple return, having had numerous rental houses / depreciation schedules / small businesses etc..... Turbo Tax is easy to use and this seller offered it at a significant discount - VERY HAPPY CAMPER here!

I love Turbo tax. It makes filing my taxes SO much easier. I can easily download my information from Quicken and BOOM! I am pretty much done! What a relief! I have always been completely terrified of doing my own taxes because, even though I am an avid reader, I just cant read tax forms,,,my brain shuts down...panic, perhaps? :) Somehow, with Turbo Tax and the way it is set up with bright colors, graphics, one question at a time and additional information/clarification as well as a community forum...it just feels more doable. I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 5 years. I have a small business too so this is a lifesaver!

It was not as user friendly as the previous versions. Entering data was confusing, especially for contributions and donations. Data did not seem to flow freely from 2009 returns to 2010 files. I had a very difficult time updating. I had to reboot twice before it uploaded the program changes. All in all, I didnt like it because of all the time I wasted trying to make simple entries. They should go back to the way 2009 versions were designed.

This is my first purchase of tax software, Have used professional tax prep for 25 years because of being self employed and not understanding all the necessary forms. My Professional screwed up my 2008 return resulting in several hundred dollars owed in back taxes and penalties. As my business is winding down I did my taxes myself in 2009, so far so good. This year Amazon had the Turbtax version that suited my needs on sale so I tried it. Very easy to use, since I had been filling out an extensive workbook for years for my professional tax preparer gathering my tax data was not any different for the Turbo Tax. Much easier than the manual method ( downloading all the forms, trying to understand the information required) the Turbo Tax walks you through the process. My only complaint was the $19.99 fee to efile the state tax form. This was probably noted somewhere but I missed it until I was ready to file. Well have to see how it all comes out, but it was easy, and hopefully accurate. I will be using it again next year.

Bought and installed Turbo Tax 2010 Home and Business. Have used turbo Tax for years without incident. Install said I have to also install Microsoft framework.net something. Turbo Tax installed. Asked me to complete a form for more information on me (i.e. Where did you buy...) Asked to update software, which I did. Then I closed the program. My computer was completely locked up. I could not even use Control,Atl, Delete to end programs and shut off. I had to manually turn off computer. Now computer wont even boot. Cant start in safe mode. Cant do anything. I get the Blue screen of death 3 hours of tech support was totally useless!!!! They twice escalated the call, was going to escalated again and they DROPPED THE CALL. Called back - and the new tech said they had no record of call, even through they took down all sorts of info. Had to start from scratch. This guy could not help and could not even escalate call. So now this program trashed my computer to unusable. Have NO help from them. Taking the computer to a shop to hopefully help out. ARRRGGGHHH. WATCH OUT!
