> 3 dayI want to connect two laptops running Windows 10 to a Canon MX410 printer through the UGREEN 2-port USB switch. When it arrived, I plugged in three USB connections as described, and proceeded to test with each computer. In each case the print utility stated that the printer was offline. On one one computer an error popped up stating that Windows could not detect the last USB device. The printer works flawlessly when the laptop is plugged directly into it. I have tried to email UGREEN support, however the email link appears to be broken. [UPDATE] I was contacted by UGreen support, and they worked with me to diagnose and solve the issue. The problem was was caused by using a longer USB cable ( 6 ft.) to connect the switch to the printer. UGreen recommends a cable 1m in length.

Greater than one weekI am downgrading my 5-star review to 3 stars. The switch routinely drops its signal for a split second. Its not long enough to impact typing or moving the mouse cursor around, but it is enough to make many tasks frustrating. Anything that requires holding a key down is affected, but most noticeable is click-and-hold with the mouse. For example, dragging a window around or highlighting text. Its also a major pain trying to do photo editing. Sometimes it causes a single click to be read as a double click. And on Zoom meetings, where holding the spacebar temporarily unmutes, I have noticed the Un-muted icon flickering on and off while Im physically holding the spacebar down. When I bypass the switch and connect directly to my hub, the issues go away. I use the same monitor for both my desktop and laptop. It has an integrated 4-port USB hub, and I just wanted a simple way to swap the connected devices between workstations. This accomplishes that with minimal clutter. The blue LEDs indicating which side is active are thankfully discrete. Even in a darkened room they are not a distraction or eyesore. This switch has a function which makes the last device turned on the active device. So if I am using my desktop, and I open the lid to my laptop, it will switch over to the laptop even though the desktop is still running. I find this to be an odd design choice. But since I typically am only using one workstation at a time, its fine.

> 3 dayWe tried a switch before to allow two computers to use one printer, but it did not work. After one or our printers died, we decided to try a switch again. This one works simply. We put one button to switch between computers right before we print. Works like a charm.

> 3 dayI wanted to share my hi-def web camera with two computers, one for work and one home (Windows 7 and 10 respectively). It was as simple as connecting the two supplied USB cables from this switch to a port on each computer and plugging the camera into the switch It worked immediately - no muss, no fuss.

> 3 dayAfter reading a bunch about how the automatic usb switchers dont work with multifunction printers, I went with the UGreen manual switch. Like all of the other UGreen products that I have, this one seems to be well made. The fit and finish is good and the switch works just as I expected it to. I have one USB input from my desktop so that I can use the printers features, mainly the scanner, and the other input from my print server. Normally the print server is selected but when I want to scan, a quick button press and everything works perfectly.

> 3 dayAllows me to effortlessly share a USB wireless mouse and keyboard between my home computer and my work laptop. Since my home computer monitors have multiple inputs, I can run my home computer to one set of inputs (DIsplayPort) and my work laptop to another set (HDMI). The UGreen switch lets me use the full-size keyboard and mouse from my home PC on the laptop without having to swap the USB receiver between computers.
