> 3 dayThis switch was exactly what I needed and works perfectly. It allows for two computers to share one printer. Came with everything I needed to hook it up (usb male cables) and worked right away. So happy with purchase.

> 3 dayI have a printer that is on a network, but we have two computers, not connected to the same network that need to print to it too. This was an easy answer, just plug in the two computers to the device (from the USB A Port to the USB B Port (cables included) and then plug in the USB B Port to the printers USB A Port (not included, since you probably already have one) on the other side.

> 3 dayI am downgrading my 5-star review to 3 stars. The switch routinely drops its signal for a split second. Its not long enough to impact typing or moving the mouse cursor around, but it is enough to make many tasks frustrating. Anything that requires holding a key down is affected, but most noticeable is click-and-hold with the mouse. For example, dragging a window around or highlighting text. Its also a major pain trying to do photo editing. Sometimes it causes a single click to be read as a double click. And on Zoom meetings, where holding the spacebar temporarily unmutes, I have noticed the Un-muted icon flickering on and off while Im physically holding the spacebar down. When I bypass the switch and connect directly to my hub, the issues go away. I use the same monitor for both my desktop and laptop. It has an integrated 4-port USB hub, and I just wanted a simple way to swap the connected devices between workstations. This accomplishes that with minimal clutter. The blue LEDs indicating which side is active are thankfully discrete. Even in a darkened room they are not a distraction or eyesore. This switch has a function which makes the last device turned on the active device. So if I am using my desktop, and I open the lid to my laptop, it will switch over to the laptop even though the desktop is still running. I find this to be an odd design choice. But since I typically am only using one workstation at a time, its fine.

> 3 dayI use this to switch inputs to an Arduino from a Raspberry Pi Uno to an MS Surface. It switches automatically and reliably.

> 3 daySharing a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse between two PCs at one desk. I stuck the Logitech unifying receiver (the little USB dongle) in the switcher box, and connected the included USB cables to a USB port on each PC. Works perfectly, every time. No more moving the dongle back and forth between the two PCs. Its life changing, and unbeatable for the price.

> 3 dayWorks great with the right mix of simplicity and functionality for the price point. Bought to streamline my work-from-home set-up for mouse & keyboard sharing. I specifically chose this one because it doesnt require external power like some others. Switching is simple with a minimal blue LED indicator. It does appear to have auto-switching when it detects connection with a new device, and I havent had a problem with it acting out. The one nit that I might have for this product is placement of the USB ports. I would prefer all of the ports to all be on one side for better cable management and table placement for button access. Most other options I found were too expensive/had more PC connections than I needed, had an unattractive form, or required external power (therefore extra independent plug). Ive only used this device with mouse-and-keyboard. I cant comment on how it performs with other devices. I noticed that if your mouse/keyboard is compatible with key mapping software and has ability to store an onboard map, you may need to unplug-replug the device when you switch to a computer that does not have the software (like your work computer) before it registers and runs the onboard map. Although there is only one USB device port, it is easily expanded with any USB hub. Obviously if you had to buy a USB hub to make your set-up work, that would be an additional cost consideration. I just used one I had on hand.

> 3 dayI wanted to share my hi-def web camera with two computers, one for work and one home (Windows 7 and 10 respectively). It was as simple as connecting the two supplied USB cables from this switch to a port on each computer and plugging the camera into the switch It worked immediately - no muss, no fuss.
