Works as designed. I was very skeptical that it would filter the water, but it does a good job.

Awesome! I have two in my goldfish tank and it’s doing amazing at keeping the tank clean and healthy and cycled!

I have 75 gallon tank and I purchased this sponge filter $8 and also a HydroAquatic sponge that was $16, the HydroAquatic is about twice as wide as this one and it is grey. I love this sponge over that one because the quality of the sponge is better and it is black and doesnt look big in my 75 gallon tank. I have it on a powerhead but it also works with an air pump. I am definitely going to buy more of these so that I can replace my canister filters which are such a hassel to clean because they are so big (5 tray with UV sterlizer). I recommend this sponge filter to anyone who needs filteration, it is cheaper and easy to manage.

This sponge filter is great. The material doesnt feel cheap, and it keeps my tank crystal clear. It IS pretty big, but its easily hidden behind plants or decorations. Im currently using it in my 20 high aquarium, and Ive included pictures to show how much space it takes up. Ive also included pictures of this sponge filter next to a standard 16.9oz water bottle as a reference to its size. It definitely does its job, Ive been using it for about 2 months without any complaints. I definitely recommend it, and would buy it again.

Great value for money. Made water crystal clear for a while and got nearly a month with a very overstocked tank before squeeze time.

The item came on time but big cuts from knife on the sponge part.guys please just be carefull. ;)

I’m not impressed with this filter. Debris was gathering under it so I lifted it up and nothing came off the filter. It was like it could pull the debris do it but not actually hold it. It’s also pretty bulky, which I’m willing to be okay with if it actually worked. I thought about getting another and trying it with two. I decided just to go a different route.

Much larger than I was expecting, which in the end is great! Very happy with the product. Surprised how under-rated this type of filtration is for aquariums. Performs soooo much better than HOB filters and is perfect for smaller tanks where you dont need a canister filter. Sure it takes a larger portion of the tank up but my fish and shrimp do much better with a number of available microorganisms that these foam filters make a great home for.
