V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

Works for about 15sec and quits , waste of money

I assume that there is a high voltage cutoff built in to the Dyson vacuum. I used a brand new Dewalt battery that was fully charged. I suspected that a fully charge battery was causing the vacuum to cycle on and off as part of its over-voltage circuitry so I ran the battery in a drill for 20 seconds and then tried again and voila! Super powerful and lasts for a long time.

After 4 years our Dyson battery was dying after doing 50% of the area that it use to cover fully charged. Didn’t want to purchase a new $200+ Dyson battery, so heard about the adapter and thought to give it a try first! Easy to install and works perfect! Highly suggest!

Plastic around the trigger broke off and unit snapped apart within 4 months.

This works well with 4 ah Dewalt batteries in my Dyson V8. My initial impression is around 25% more life than the original battery. This does NOT work on max setting with a smaller, 1.5 ah battery. If you use max settings and have the smaller Dewalt batteries then Id avoid this. Otherwise Im looking forward to having swappable batteries for my Dyson! Id give it 5 stars but the seller should indicate the need for larger batteries.

I ideally wanted to use this with the maximum suction function but the light turns red after a few seconds. On the lower setting it works fine. Buy this if you dont mind the lower setting.

Works very well. As I have a lot of DeWalt tools I already have the batteries. The last battery I got for the Dyson did not last six months, so this is a good way out.

i had to come back to this page to figure out how to swap the battery adapters. There are 3 screws total, 2 are hidden. Other than the setup, this thing is incredible!!!!

I need to apologize to the Comaony that sold me this product. For whatever reason, and let’s call it user error (but I honestly don’t know) I put the battery in the charger again and let it charge, again and I have had over 35-40 minutes of operation time. It works. As advertised.
