V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

The Dyson battery seemed to die after a few minutes. This was easy to install and now I can just change the Dewalt battery if it dies.

The package arrived quickly. Easy to install (Just remove and replace your 3 screws from the Dyson) slide a DeWalt battery on and your Good-To-Go. Original Dyson battery (2yrs old) lost charge quickly (lasted less than 5min). This adapter using our DeWalt battery has not shown any difference in the operation of the vacuum. Works GREAT and were able to swap out the DeWalt battery quickly and keep on with the cleaning. Its only been 2 days, so time will tell how well it holds up.

Wish I would have dug deeper into the reviews before purchasing. The adapter is easy to install, and fits the Dewalt batteries without issue (which is why it gets 2 stars). But it will not work if your vacuum is set the the Max Suction setting. It will only turn on for 1 second, led goes red, and immediately turns off. Works just fine if you use the lower High Suction setting, but without the ability to use the Max setting (even from time to time)... is a deal breaker for me. Thats the whole reason I bought a Dyson in the first place!!

The device installs quickly (three screws) however doesnt work. The device shows a green battery indicator (full battery) starts vacuum then shuts off after a few seconds, still showing green light. I have read other reviews and other people have had the same issue. Sure would have been nice if it had worked.

Attached it to my Dyson v8…. blinked red and green lights and worked for a second then turned off. Doesn’t work.

Actually it saved my vacuum. Y’all will never catch me fighting and looking stupid with a vacuum cord again. But the battery life of my Dyson was throwing me into fits. In comes this gadget, and I can vacuum my whole house twice, and then some! Wish we’d bought it sooner.

It works well

I ideally wanted to use this with the maximum suction function but the light turns red after a few seconds. On the lower setting it works fine. Buy this if you dont mind the lower setting.

We have had one for about six months, and after leaning our Dyson against the wall too many times it fell and broke a part multiple times. For days I had to wait to get this and not use my vacuum was very sad but it was worth buying a second one. It worked amazing.
