Greater than one weekAfter installation if I try to run the Dyson V8 on Max Suction, it will run for1 sec and stop. Only works on Low suction mode.

> 3 dayAmazing, it works perfectly. Used the screws from the original dyson battery instead of the supplied ones since the original were longer. There wasnt a ryobi attachment one sadly but purchased a dewalt slim 4ah and battery charger. Purchased dewalt battery from home depot - too many fraudulent ones on amazon. Dewalt website states that they do not sell on amazon. Dont throw the old dead battery in the trash. Take it to free electronics/hazard recycling or drop it off at work by your battery pickup area.

> 3 dayI have plenty of deWalt batteries. Together they can run 2+ hours. The first time I can finish vacuuming my entire house continuously. Also, I remove the battery whenever I dont use the cleaner. which is safe.

03-06-2025These adapters only work on the low power setting. I tried it on 2 different fully operational dyson v8 vacuums and neither worked so I figured I just got a defective one and switched out a replacement, but had the same result with the replacement, so these just dont work on max power.

Greater than one weekI assume that there is a high voltage cutoff built in to the Dyson vacuum. I used a brand new Dewalt battery that was fully charged. I suspected that a fully charge battery was causing the vacuum to cycle on and off as part of its over-voltage circuitry so I ran the battery in a drill for 20 seconds and then tried again and voila! Super powerful and lasts for a long time.
