V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

It no longer fits in the holster that mounts to the wall. That doesn’t matter when you can vacuum your entire house twice with one battery! I love this thing! I have had this since October and it’s working better than I imagined . I have a battery charging station and I keep one battery and the vacuum one on the charger and I never have to stop vacuuming again! It also is stronger than the stock battery!! I highly recommend this product!

I was skeptical of the product, but after installing it, it fits perfectly. The new adapter holes lineup exactly with original Dyson holes so installation is easy I do recommend taking off all front components to get better access to the two bottom screws

Fit and finish was great. My Dyson worked great on the standard/low power setting, as soon as I switched to high power the vacuum immediately shut off. Not sure if I’m the only one with this issue. I charged the battery overnight with the same result in the morning.

Works most of the time, but is not reliable. When it works--super! Id you have Dewalt batteries give it a try.

Plastic around the trigger broke off and unit snapped apart within 4 months.

2 Things I have run into that may be a deal breaker for others. First it does not fit back into the wall storage charging station because the base where the battery used to be is now too large, this is without the Dewalt battery of course. Second the smaller 2 amp hour batteries do not work well with this. My guess is that as the battery charge lessens the voltage drops and the vacuum shuts off. I have not had a problem with the 4 or 6 amp hour batteries. It uses a surprising amount of battery when in high and using the brush attachments.

I have plenty of deWalt batteries. Together they can run 2+ hours. The first time I can finish vacuuming my entire house continuously. Also, I remove the battery whenever I dont use the cleaner. which is safe.

This works amazingly on my Dyson. I use Dewalt 20V tools all the time so I have several batteries, so I can vacuum all day if I want. My neighbors and family members are envious of me. I Love this

It fits perfectly, but as others said it will not work on the max setting. Thats a deal breaker for me, so Im sending it back. Quite a bit bummed, but gave it a try (in hopes the other reviews were outdated). This is as of 14 February 2023. Good luck!

I love that this was an easy install and extended the run time significantly. We have 3 kids under 5 and 2 dogs, so our house is being vacuumed constantly, and this attachment has been a life saver. I do wish that the battery I have (v20 XR Lithium Ion) worked with the MAX setting on the vacuum. I only get about 2-3 seconds before it starts doing the stutter suction. Ive checked the inlet and changed the filters and still run into this problem.
