V8 Battery Adapter for Dewalt 20V Lithium Battery Converted to Replace for Dyson V8 Battery, Works with Dyson V8 Series Animal Absolute Vacuum Cleaner(DW20V8 Adapter ONLY)

I have 2aH and 5aH batteries and this adapter fits both and allows extended run-time on my V8. It works on Max Suction or normal suction. I have not tried my 60V DeWalt batteries. Good buy if youre already invested in the DeWalt system.

Installation was easy and I have 2 fully charged batteries, but the Dyson vac only runs 5 seconds and then I have to remove and replace the battery like it is being reset. Same result with both batteries. Restarts and runs another 5 seconds. Any suggestions?

Tried multiple batteries - no luck. Inconsistent or pulsing suction. Skip it.

This product installed easily enough. Screws were provided but they’re shorter than the original. No instruction provided on whether to use new or original. Battery life is great. Obviously that’s the point. You can what ever Dewalt20v battery you have. I was able to vacuum our entire downstairs on Max, about 1500 sq ft. Major bummer is it doesn’t fit the charging holder. Would be 5 stars if it did. Good price and worth it.

Works for about 15sec and quits , waste of money

Super easy to replace the battery with this adapter. We had bought a replacement battery before for our Dyson and it didn’t work that great. This way, we can just use one of our many dewalt batteries instead! Simple fix on an older vacuum that doesn’t fall under warranty any more.

It no longer fits in the holster that mounts to the wall. That doesn’t matter when you can vacuum your entire house twice with one battery! I love this thing! I have had this since October and it’s working better than I imagined . I have a battery charging station and I keep one battery and the vacuum one on the charger and I never have to stop vacuuming again! It also is stronger than the stock battery!! I highly recommend this product!

I bought this because the original battery would not last 10 minutes and I already had plenty of DeWalt batteries for my power tools. Installed easily and works but the handle gets really hot after about 15 minutes of use. I wear gloves to make it bearable but afraid the plastic may melt one day.

I had the exact same problem as other users where the 20V 2ah battery didnt work longer than 10-20sec. I installed my 20v/60v 5ah battery and it worked fantastic. I assume a 20V with larger amp hour would work, but I only have an order small capacity 20V battery.
