Greater than one weekLike the new updated lifepod (2.0) its thicker and much bigger than the original. Real feel safe knowing my items are safe and that the security features have been updated as well. Costumer Support has good communication response and are there to help. Definitely make sure to use a New 9v brand battery.

> 3 dayRecently received this vault to store a compact, 2 mags and a holster. Everything fits perfectly with room for more mags if needed. The combination is easy to use and program and looks very sleek. It is the perfect size for a drawer, large glovebox or large center console.

Greater than one weekSafe works great when used for basic nightstand safe usage; it fits my firearm and two clips and have the steel cable strapped to my bed, so the safe can not be picked up, its locking mechanism can be disabled so it cant be picked and its waterproof so it would be hard to wedge something in between to open it. Its not a full-proof safe but it would at least require a professional thief to steal the items inside the safe and is even more perfect if you have children or someone in the house whom you do not want having access to your firearm. They have updated it fixing a common method for breaking into it. For the price, you cant beat it would recommend.

> 3 dayUPDATE: it turns out that because the sticker inside the box was UPSIDE DOWN, I misread it. The directions for the on state for the key lock were next to the OFF position (UX mistake #1) and the sticker was positioned so that I would have to be INSIDE the box to read it right-side-up, and therefore it was UPSIDE DOWN for anyone looking into the box from above (UX mistake #2) and therefore hard to read, and easy to misread. Im raising my review to 4 stars. There is nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with the product, just the UX. This wasted a lot of my time, which could have been saved if they had at least positioned the sticker so that I could read it, and preferably had also designed it so that the directions for the ON position were NEXT TO the ON position instead of the OFF position. I will probably relent and raise my review to 5 stars, since Amazon wont let me give it 4.5, because there are so many great things about this product, but at the moment Im just slightly annoyed with the bad UX design. ORIGINAL: I was really looking forward to getting this, as it seemed to be the perfect balance of various trade-offs. And the portability and floating feature seemed like an awesome bonus. But it has a fatal flaw—at least the one I received, which may not be indicative of every single unit. It is a minor annoyance that there was no battery included. Okay, fine, they want to keep the cost down. Whatever. After a trip to Costco for 9 volt batteries, I was ready to set up my box. The unit came with the key lock disabled. Some people may prefer to risk losing their keys instead of risking the possibility that a thief may pick the lock, so this is a good feature. After installing the battery, the next thing I did was enable the key lock, since Im less worried about the lock being picked than about me losing the ability to quickly access the contents of my box. Then I set up a code, and tried it out. I wanted to make sure I could unlock it with both the code and with the key. The code worked fine, but the key, not so much. I could not turn the key all the way to unlock it. I felt that if I applied any more torque to the key I would break it off in the lock, which would not do anyone any good. So I tried fiddling with the setting for turning the key lock on and off. I dialed that back part way so it was not fully in the on position, and suddenly I could turn the key all the way so as to unlock it. However, now I could not remove the key. So there is basically no way of making the key work. Its either impossible to unlock the unit with the key, or its impossible to get the key in and out (in which case its still impossible to unlock the unit because you cant put the key in). So the physical lock is junk on mine. This is presumably a manufacturing defect, but I would not trust that this defect doesnt appear on any other units. If the quality control is inconsistent enough to allow such an extreme defect in THIS unit, it is most likely allowing it in others as well. One other small nit: there are only 4 possible numerals for your PIN. But thats really only a small inconvenience in that it limits the possible PINs you can choose. As long as you have an 8-digit PIN this is still quite secure (65 thousand possibilities for an attacker to try, if I did the math correctly), so make sure you use all 8 allowed digits if that degree of security is important to you. So, in summary, if you dont care about the physical key, then for you this is a 5-star product.

> 3 dayThis is a very high-quality product. Instructions for use were a 10 out of 10. It’s lightweight but very sturdy and very well-made. I highly recommend.

Greater than one weekIt does what it is advertised to do. Simply locks up your gun. But for the price you can get better all metal options. This is advertised as being weather proof, so it has side clasps to securely close. The clasps get in the way a vast majority of the time. If you are just using the safe in the house or car where you want somewhat quick and quiet access now you have these flapping clasps in the way. I dont reccomend the lifepod to my friends looking for a small safe.

> 3 dayI guess all the youtube reviews oversold this product. Really shouldnt be called a safe, maybe a locked contianer..This really should be a $160 with all accessories instead of 200+. Plastic sounds and feels like a kids toy. Was expecting pelican or glock polymer like plastic ...weary of dropping it. So far works like advertised.

> 3 dayI ordered this mainly to transport my double-stack 9mm pistol to and from the range, and to keep it locked up when it happens to NOT be in my bedside safe. Im not going to comment on features, lock mechanism, water-resistance, and so on. Build quality seems quite good. The combination is easy to set, and capacitive touch is very nice. Im happy to have a code-based electronic lock on my case. This review is just to let other people know where things might not be quite what you expect. The Amazon page is far too sketchy on information. When I ordered, I thought I was getting the special edition that included pluck foam and a lid organizer, but that wasnt the case. So after it arrived, I realized (my?) mistake and ordered the pluck foam and a carry handle. First of all, if you have a double-stack pistol, then the organizer tray that comes with the Lifepod 2.0 tray is going to be completely useless to you, because you cant fit both your firearm and the tray in the case at the same time. Now, they *could* have made the case just a wee bit thicker, but they didnt. (And they dont hide the fact, as long as you read the fine print. Single stack sub-compacts may fit.) Why dont they ship another variation for double-stack owners, that does away with the tray, and substitutes in some other more essential feature, like perhaps the organizer tray or the pluck foam? Additional marketing and support costs, maybe? I dont know, but I think they would be wise to consider it. Secondly, on the subject of the pluck foam (sold separately), know that you will receive two differently-sized pieces of foam. One size fits in the main compartment; the other is smaller and meant to fit in the tray organizer. This is hinted at in the product description... sort of. But its not explicitly clear. I was honestly expecting two pieces of foam that fit in the main compartment, each of which was for the main compartment. Because sometimes you dont get the plucking right the first time, or maybe youd want to switch your first foam out when you change out your case contents. It made little sense (to me) that they would make one foam for the main compartment and one for the organizer tray. But thats what they did. Maybe someone finds it useful. So my final impression is of a well-constructed case, but not getting quite what I expected, and having to spend extra for the features I actually want, and still wishing I had an extra piece of pluck foam. So the case is 5 stars, but I have to knock off 1 star for the company not managing my expectations in the way I have come to expect in this era of easy returns and ubiquitous product reviews. Theyve got a nice glossy website; they should be able to do better. But the case does seem solid.

> 3 dayJust the right size to carry my gun to the shooting range - not too big and not too small.
