> 3 dayI love this potable gun storage. I wish the inside depth was a little deeper so I could carry just a little more in it but still a great case.

Greater than one weekIf you don’t own one Vaultek safe, you should. I needed something for a large frame firearm and this checked every box and more. You will never go wrong with any of their products. I own several.

Greater than one weekBest safe I ever owned. I like the fact that I can basically secure it to my vehicle when I transporting my handgun. Its made out of great materials, feels great, and sturdy. I would highly recommend this safe.

> 3 dayIt does what it is advertised to do. Simply locks up your gun. But for the price you can get better all metal options. This is advertised as being weather proof, so it has side clasps to securely close. The clasps get in the way a vast majority of the time. If you are just using the safe in the house or car where you want somewhat quick and quiet access now you have these flapping clasps in the way. I dont reccomend the lifepod to my friends looking for a small safe.

> 3 dayNice gun safe. It easily holds a SW 9 compact, and a SW 9 shield plus. It is a handsome product. It has a security cable that can be attached to your bed frame. Prevents theft and access by people you know. Of course, if someone has enough time, the safe can be defeated. It is a good travel case too. I have the model without WiFi, Bluetooth, Apps, and all that other stuff. I prefer to keep it simple.

> 3 dayPlastic trash! Cant even bolt to a surface. Dont know what it would be used for since its pointless for a firearm. Easy to break into. Dont waste your money.

> 3 dayUPDATE: it turns out that because the sticker inside the box was UPSIDE DOWN, I misread it. The directions for the on state for the key lock were next to the OFF position (UX mistake #1) and the sticker was positioned so that I would have to be INSIDE the box to read it right-side-up, and therefore it was UPSIDE DOWN for anyone looking into the box from above (UX mistake #2) and therefore hard to read, and easy to misread. Im raising my review to 4 stars. There is nothing PHYSICALLY wrong with the product, just the UX. This wasted a lot of my time, which could have been saved if they had at least positioned the sticker so that I could read it, and preferably had also designed it so that the directions for the ON position were NEXT TO the ON position instead of the OFF position. I will probably relent and raise my review to 5 stars, since Amazon wont let me give it 4.5, because there are so many great things about this product, but at the moment Im just slightly annoyed with the bad UX design. ORIGINAL: I was really looking forward to getting this, as it seemed to be the perfect balance of various trade-offs. And the portability and floating feature seemed like an awesome bonus. But it has a fatal flaw—at least the one I received, which may not be indicative of every single unit. It is a minor annoyance that there was no battery included. Okay, fine, they want to keep the cost down. Whatever. After a trip to Costco for 9 volt batteries, I was ready to set up my box. The unit came with the key lock disabled. Some people may prefer to risk losing their keys instead of risking the possibility that a thief may pick the lock, so this is a good feature. After installing the battery, the next thing I did was enable the key lock, since Im less worried about the lock being picked than about me losing the ability to quickly access the contents of my box. Then I set up a code, and tried it out. I wanted to make sure I could unlock it with both the code and with the key. The code worked fine, but the key, not so much. I could not turn the key all the way to unlock it. I felt that if I applied any more torque to the key I would break it off in the lock, which would not do anyone any good. So I tried fiddling with the setting for turning the key lock on and off. I dialed that back part way so it was not fully in the on position, and suddenly I could turn the key all the way so as to unlock it. However, now I could not remove the key. So there is basically no way of making the key work. Its either impossible to unlock the unit with the key, or its impossible to get the key in and out (in which case its still impossible to unlock the unit because you cant put the key in). So the physical lock is junk on mine. This is presumably a manufacturing defect, but I would not trust that this defect doesnt appear on any other units. If the quality control is inconsistent enough to allow such an extreme defect in THIS unit, it is most likely allowing it in others as well. One other small nit: there are only 4 possible numerals for your PIN. But thats really only a small inconvenience in that it limits the possible PINs you can choose. As long as you have an 8-digit PIN this is still quite secure (65 thousand possibilities for an attacker to try, if I did the math correctly), so make sure you use all 8 allowed digits if that degree of security is important to you. So, in summary, if you dont care about the physical key, then for you this is a 5-star product.
