After 15 years my similar Victorinox knife broke. We got these and they work well. Beware, they are agressively sharp and we both have cut our fingers with them. They dont handle like regular knives because of the serrations (Im not sure why we had to get used to these since I had my old knife, and several sharp regular, high-quality knives). That said, we are quite happy with them and with 4 of them they will likely do a terrific (if careful!) job cutting tomatoes and the like for many years. Recommended--just use caution at first.
