> 3 daySuper happy with this monitor. USB C video and sound work perfectly with no additional software needed. Wonky controls can be frustrating at first but once you figure them out it is easy. Amazing value for the money.

Greater than one weekI am a developer so I write code, surf the web, deal with spreadsheets and text all day long with occasional Photoshop work. Im not a gamer at all so no comment on how this monitor performs for gaming. Im running Debian on an older Lenovo laptop (T430s) using a Display Port from the monitor to the Mini Display Port on the laptop. Let me say how happy I am with my purchase. This is a solid monitor with a thin bezel, beautiful picture, beautiful design all combined in a 24 package. The bezel and the stand are premium in terms of texture, design and durability. I prefer monitor stands that are square and non-glossy compared to those that are round and glossy. I know I know, to me, design and looks matter too. This monitor also has actual buttons. The buttons are firm in place and dont wiggle around. It also has a Text-mode setting that helps reading text easier. I appreciate the fact that ViewSonics logo on the front of the screen is black and not chrome or white so it doesnt jump at you. I thought that was a smart design choice by ViewSonic. The speakers on this monitor are above average. I dont have much expectation of built-in monitor speakers in general. I buy a monitor for its picture quality and resolution capabilities, first and foremost. Regardless, I dont have problems watching videos or listening to music. I used to have a 27 BenQ with 2560x1440p resolution. That monitor was amazing but it was too big for my desk and the text was a bit fuzzy. Im now running the same resolution on a 24 monitor with the same screen real estate and the text looks amazingly sharp. Note: A 27 1080p monitor does not necessarily give you more screen real estate over a 24 1080p. Its not the physical size of the monitor but rather the resolution of the monitor that will allow you to fit more windows on your screen. It took me 3 monitors to figure this out. Also note that the higher the resolution, the smaller the text. Basically sit back at an arms length from your monitor screen and find the resolution that youre comfortable with. Can you read text or surf the web without any eye strain? Then determine which monitor can produce that resolution at its best. Of course, other factors are involved here too such as your graphics card that you have to consider. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor for the price. Hope this helps people out there.

> 3 dayMonitor perform very well - good color, excellent picture quality, brightness is much better than my prior monitor. Im using 2560x1440p resolution - and use it as my primary monitor. I also have a 21 HP 1-8-p monitor as my 2nd monitor and am using the laptop screen as monitor 3. All three interact well in Windows10. The 2560x1440 gives me plenty of working area on the main screen -- often I use 2-3 windows on that screen and can still position them to view all with only slight overlaps. I use screen 2 as the screen to share for online presentations or to park an open document or Excel for frequent reference. I only keep then laptop screen open so I can use Hello Windows login from the laptop camera -- I dont really use the screen often. I deliberately bought the USB C to have one cable connections - but due to some other port needs, Im actually connected using HDMI for now so I cannot comment on that capability.

Greater than one weekSimpy amazing! This monitor with USB-C turned THREE cables into one!! Its complete eliminated the cable clutter on my desktop. Before I had hooked up to my Dell XPS 13 9380 the following: one USB-C cable for display, one USB-C converted to USB-A through an adapter for my peripherals, and another USB-C cable for charging. Now a SINGLE USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor does all three things! One single USB-C cable hooked up to this monitor provides power, drives the monitor, and the built-in USB hub in the monitor all works! Simultaneously!! Just make sure you get the right USB-C cable, with USB-PD and 10 Gbps Gen 2 like this one recommended by another reviewer on here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L0F6AJI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sorry if this sounds like a fake review, but Im just honestly pleased with this monitor. If I would give 6 stars, I would.

> 3 dayI was in the market for an affordable 26inch+ USB-C monitor for my new Dell XPS 15 Laptop. I wanted it to have 3 things: 1. USB-C for power and video 2. Greater than 1080p resolution 3. Good tilt and swivel This monitor was the only one I found that fit these criteria and was under $400. The mechanism to attach the monitor to the base is very good, easy to connect and seems very secure. It also requires no tools. The bezel is very thin on the tops and sides, a little bigger at the bottom. I has some usb inputs on the monitor also, which are useful. The only downside is that the XPS I have requires 130v power input, which is very high for a laptop, and so you get a message about slow charger connected when using the usb-c here for video and charging. I dont know that many monitors or cables could pass through that much power anyway? Most laptops require less wattage and should have no issues. Overall a very good looking monitor. Would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayI really like this monitor. It’s a well-designed monitor with a bright, crisp display that’s going to be really tough to beat without spending significantly more money. And, even if you do decide to spend significantly more money for a better monitor, the difference in picture quality isn’t going to be a jaw dropping. Now, with all that said, once you get this monitor up and running, you will definitely need to make many adjustments to it to get it dialed in exactly the way you like it. So, plan on spending about an hour or so changing settings, making adjustments and fine tuning the picture. And, once you do that, I can’t imagine anyone being anything but happy with this monitor. If I had to complain about something, it would be about the speakers. They’re strictly utilitarian. They provide basic sound. If you want anything better than that, you’ll need to get a pair of external speakers. Which I already had, and pretty much knew I would need since the onboard speakers are, of course, extremely small. Other than the minor speaker thing, I really couldn’t be more happy with this monitor. I think it’s a very solid choice if you’re looking for a 24” budget-friendly monitor. If you have any questions about this ViewSonic monitor, please feel free to ask, and Ill try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor specifically because it has an USB 3.1 C port, which would allow me to plug it directly into my IPad Pro 12.9 4th gen port. It played for a few moments then lost the signal. Then I saw that my USB-C port no longer worked, I could not charge my IPad, the port was dead. I called Apple and they made me an appointment at Best Buy. The tech there did a hard reset and it functioned again. His explanation was that the monitor was supplying an unacceptable current to the IPad. Apple has software that recognizes when this happen and shuts of the port to avoid damaging the tablet. A hard reset will bring the tablet’s port back to life. The tech said I should not use the monitor again. Also I could not use the buttons on the monitor to access the setup menu, all in all this thing was junk. Returned it to Amazon for a refund, no problem there at least. Amazon really stands behind whatever they sell.

> 3 dayI have been using three monitors across my desk as one wide screen for CAD, business documents and research, and even Flight Simulator. My previous set of monitors finally started going bad after 15 years and multiple moves! I called and spoke with a ViewSonic rep and he recommended these monitors as replacements. They exceed everything I expected. The colors are brilliant and the graphics are sharp. The stand has the best adjustments for height, angle, and tilt that I have ever seen. For the cost, these monitors are hard to beat!

> 3 dayGreat monitor for its price, used with a 2019 MacBook Pro. Easily the best part of this monitor is the USB C connection. It allows the MacBook to charge AND provide picture using a single cable. The panel is fine. No dead pixels and picture quality is good. It has a Matte finish, which isn’t as nice as the MacBook’s glossy finish, but it’s easier to clean. I had a scratch on the screen due to shipping damage. I ordered a replacement and It came with no hassle. The monitor comes at 60hz refresh rate, so I wouldn’t recommend for gaming purposes, unless a 144hz monitor is out of budget. For $350 this monitor is great!
