Greater than one weekJust set mine up and it works great. Easy to put together, picture immediately looks excellent once plugged in. Also, I read in some reviews that those with Apple products would need to order a separate USB-C to USB-C cable for proper connection and charging. This appears to no longer be the case – that cable was INCLUDED in the box from ViewSonic (along with the power cord, an HDMI cable, and a USB A-to-B cable). Plugged it in and the monitor immediately began charging my Macbook Air 13 while my dual screens synced perfectly. Hope this saves some folks the $20 I spent on a cable from Apple!

> 3 dayI did hours of research before taking a chance on this monitor. I bought it as a second monitor for my new MacBook Air 2018, as my new Mac would not recognize my old monitor even with the correct adapter cord (I’m guessing it was too old and outdated?). I chose this product because it is USB-C compatible and based on the positive reviews. I nervously hooked it up using an Apple thunderbolt 3 cord ($39.99 on amazon) hoping my Mac would recognize it and — voila!! It worked beautifully. This monitor is not only perfectly compatible with MacBook Air 2018 but also has great resolution and some nice adjustment features - you can effortlessly move it up and down or swivel the screen side to side using the easy-to-assemble base. I highly recommend it!!

> 3 dayIm really enjoying this monitor. It has fantastic picture quality. It has a beautiful facade with a nice and thin borders. The adjustable hight and angle is very useful. However, the built-in speakers are quite terrible. I replaced my external speakers when this monitor arrived, which was a mistake. Now I rely on headsets and my laptops speakers. For comparison, my MBPs built-in speakers are much better.

> 3 dayThere used to be a time when monitors were MUCH more expensive and thanks to the proliferation of options and increased technology, competitive prices have saved our wallets. But when it comes to selecting a monitor, the brand should also be taken into consideration because that is arguably the most important part of your computing process - you need to SEE what you are doing? ViewSonic has been around forever and its quality remains unchanged, and this monitor attests to the craftsmanship and value. The graphics are vivid and crisp, the construction of the monitor is sturdy, easy to assemble and set up - and being able to swivel the screen or flip it is what makes this SO AWESOME! This is a good monitor for your modest home office, an extra monitor for heavy-duty tasks where you need two screens, or even in my case where the screen on an old laptop is cracked and this has saved my work because I am now able to transfer it to another hard drive - I used the VGA output but there is also HDMI! Priced for holiday savings, this is a must have!

> 3 dayLove this display! I have a limited amount of vertical room between my home desk and some built-in bookcases above, and this monitor has great vertical adjustment to fit perfectly. Picture and brightness is excellent.

> 3 dayPlease be advised, you need a specific USB C cable for this monitor to work with your Macbook Pro or any laptop you have. I DID read a review that says you need a USB C 3.1 cable so I bought an Anker cable. The review on it says IT DOES transmit video but it does not. The reason why the review says so is because it pulls from all versions of the cable so there is a version that DOES work. I bought this, however, 60W USB C to USB C Cable [3.3ft, 10Gbps], iVANKY USB C 3.1 Gen 2 Cable Fast Charge with Power Delivery and 4K Video Output, Braided Type-C Video Cable, for MacBook, Chromebook Pixel, iPad Pro and More This works!

> 3 dayThe monitor is used in my 3 screen workstation for CAD and pdf work. It is a good monitor with clean images. It does have this habit of giving me a black screen and no input message about once per week. My other two monitors do not. It requires me to remove power cord and plug back in to clear it. I keep using it because the price was right. This unit is a little over a year old.

> 3 dayEasy to set up, and I like the frameless bezel and ergonomic design. Image quality out of the box is as expected for a QHD monitor. However, at a price of $350 I expected the sound quality from the internal speakers to be much better--its very poor. Even with monitor, computer, and online streaming app volumes set to 100% the sound is so low its difficult to hear. Frankly, I miss my 10-year-old ASUS monitor. I contacted technical support and checked all the settings they suggested without hearing any improvement. Their response was, If we were to proceed with a warranty claim we cannot guarantee that this would be a resolution to this issue. If you buy this monitor, be prepared to spend additional money for external speakers. I would not recommend this model monitor unless they improve the quality of the internal speakers.

16-11-2024This is to directly compete with Samsungs SH850. Difference from SH850: - Display Panel: IPS vs PLS - USB-C charge: 65W vs 45W. - DisplayPort daisy chain: No vs Yes - USB2 connection from computer: Yes vs No - Audio: lame speakers vs. Audio Out Jack - Eye care mode: not sure vs. Yes - Price: Same - Size/Resolution: Same Otherwise, other specs are similar. The stand on this looks a bit slicker, with a handle to carry. I picked this because its got better review and slightly newer in release date, and the wrong info in its description that its 75Hz. Its not 75Hz, just 60. Everything is great. I dont care about daisy chaining DP and the extra USB2 connection from computer is very nice. But then I decided to return it and get the SH850. Because for some reason, they decided they need to include speakers, but ones so lame that its very far off even compare to my cheap laptops built-in speakers. Literally I just want it to be loud enough, as loud as my incredibly cheap laptops lamest speakers. I checked and all volume are set to 100%. If they dont want to include speakers that are just loud enough, at least just leave it out and include an audio out jack so I can add my own ones, that I dont need another wire plugging into the computer.

> 3 dayMonitor perform very well - good color, excellent picture quality, brightness is much better than my prior monitor. Im using 2560x1440p resolution - and use it as my primary monitor. I also have a 21 HP 1-8-p monitor as my 2nd monitor and am using the laptop screen as monitor 3. All three interact well in Windows10. The 2560x1440 gives me plenty of working area on the main screen -- often I use 2-3 windows on that screen and can still position them to view all with only slight overlaps. I use screen 2 as the screen to share for online presentations or to park an open document or Excel for frequent reference. I only keep then laptop screen open so I can use Hello Windows login from the laptop camera -- I dont really use the screen often. I deliberately bought the USB C to have one cable connections - but due to some other port needs, Im actually connected using HDMI for now so I cannot comment on that capability.
