> 24 hourThis was my first purchase of an external hard drive. Bought it to back up a massive music and video collection from my cpu. Works better than I expected and now can download a ton more media. I’m no computer expert, but the other more technical reviews for this product (WD 2TB passport) were spot on.

> 24 hourIt’s always plugged into my ps4 as active storage...BEWARE: data can become corrupt if you don’t use appropriate surge protection! So far my ps4 has recovered data every time when it wasn’t plugged in to surge protector.

> 24 hourIt seems to be working fine. I just plugged it in Windows 10 recognized it. I havnt tried to restore any of the back-ups yet, or start off of it. I was able to copy the Windows folder over directly once I figured out how to adjust the permissions, so I am hoping I will be able to use it as an emergency start up if my internal ever crashes,

> 24 hourThis holds a lot of my photos. Im disappointed since the transfer rate is only about 15 MB per second. Larger video files go a lot quicker reaching 50 MB/sec.

> 24 hourI love this and use it for my xbox and ps4, my only gripe is it only has 1.8 T if you get the 2 T option, not sure why this is but product is great.

> 24 hourStrengths: - Plug and play mechanism, optional software is easy to use and useful. PC detected the external HD immediately with no problems whatsoever (using Windows 7 64-bit). - I like WDs straight to the point minimalist packaging and design. Weaknesses: - The glossy finish gets easily scratched. Additional comments: New design is slick in comparison to a WD My Passport from 2010, but this is a matter of taste. Anyways, a USB 3.0 cable is included but I did not capture a photograph of it.

> 24 hourIve had it for about a month now and it is consistently reliable. I periodically do full system and fill backups to this hard drive and it has been speedy and reliable. I also do incremental backups every Sunday and have not had an issue with this hard drive. I dont recommend using the backup software that comes with this device, however. I personally use the free version of EaseUS Todo; it works perfectly with this device. Definitely recommend this hard drive for backing up your computer.

> 24 hourOccasionally Warehouse Deals blows it. This was one of those cases. They sent the Mac version (which looks identical except having a big Mac version on it). I looked at drive use and decided to reformat drive for PC use and try it out as it was pretty close. (and I could not wait for a swap). Sometimes warehouse deals is good sometimes they are close and sometimes they totally fail. 80 percent good 10 percent close 10 percent total fail. If I have time and can deal with issues I try them out. If it is critical I buy new... Drive it self is good, Warranty is best in class and RMA process for WD is great.

> 24 hourExcellent disk. Compact, light and fast. I bought it to backup my Mac with Time Machine. At first I was unable to format it on MAC although I am not a novice user, so I come to think that the product was defective. I contacted WDs technical support and in a few minutes they helped me solve the problem. Now it works perfect. 100% MAC-compatible
