Used it with my Xbox One S too beef up the storage since we all know that 500GB is not enough nowadays. After plugging the hard drive into my Xbox, you need to format it which takes about 5 seconds, and youre ready to go.

Only reason for 4 stars as I cannot figure out the automatic backup and if I need to use it that way. I use it only to back up my Photos and so far it has been quite reliable. I wish I could figure out the software.

Purchased to serve as my backup non-cloud system. Works great. The software that comes with it works great. Good value for the price point. I would purchase again.

The drive itself appears to be fine. But I bought this as a backup for my Windows OS 10 desktop, and the WB Backup software is unusable, and the docs are useless. I repeatedly got a There is not enough free space on the backup drive trying to back up when the Passport was brand new. And I only had 1TB to backup on this 2TB drive. When I googled the error message, I found this is a very common complaint. I tried the various fixes (reformat, repartition, reboot,reinstall, etc), but nothing worked. In the end I used the regular Windows backup utility, which worked fine. Obviously. Lesson learned (again) - dont trust software made by a hardware company. Id give this 0 stars for software, 5 stars (so far) for hardware, average is 2.5 stars, and Im rounding down for wasting my time.

This is one of the BEST digital drives Ive seen. Its compact and super easy to set up and use. There are more included extra features than most. I cant say that I could find even one thing I didnt like about it. I would highly recommended product.

I purchased the 2TB Black Standard External HDD: Feels sturdy and looks professional, 3.0 USB provides great data transfer speeds for the large files (mostly used it for video and edited images), and a great amount of space for the price. As you would expect from WD.

Ive had very good luck with WD drives in the past. Im giving this an average review because I really dont know how reliable this will be in the future. A hard drive shipped in a soft pouch doesnt comfort me though and Im thinking that continuing Amazon Prime after the free trial might not be such a good idea.

I bought this to sub in for my other external HD with external power supply. So comparing to that, this one is easier to use - plug the USB and thats it. Storage size and speed is OK. When I bought it, 2TB was huge, and USB 3.0 was super fast. But nowadays there are many newer options with SSD. So in general, for a backup solution, this one is good enough.

Its small and silent. Bought this for my PS4. PS4 showed 1.84 terabytes after format but before showed 2.1TB!? The USB cable could be longer or is it just the right length? I dont know but it barely reaches around the back from being plugged into the front USB port on the middle of my slim PS4. Its a small hard drive just a bit larger in size than a pack of cigarettes. I did put my hand on it after it had been running for hours downloading PS4 digital content and this hard drive was warm to the touch. I dont know. So far very happy and surprised by the small size and zero noise.

It seems to be working fine. I just plugged it in Windows 10 recognized it. I havnt tried to restore any of the back-ups yet, or start off of it. I was able to copy the Windows folder over directly once I figured out how to adjust the permissions, so I am hoping I will be able to use it as an emergency start up if my internal ever crashes,
