Bought for a gift for my son, who is a gamer. He koves it.

The actual read/write speed of this drive has already been documented by other buyers. The speed is greatly dependent on the computer interface. It seems to be best with USB 3.2. My fastest interface is USB 3.1. Still I copied a 2,672,000 byte file to the drive in 9.24 seconds which seemed quite fast to me. Read/Write speed isnt a top parameter for me. Most drives are fast enough for me. Im just a home user.

Got this bad boy and plugged it in and worked right away! Make sure to use the front usb on the left.

Works great. Does allow for loading things faster than a speedy HDD. As others mention though, it was weird having to “shove” the USB-C cable harder into the SSD port, because otherwise it would refuse to be recognized by my PS4Pro.

Using for game installs as we know games are very large. My laptop is a gaming pc and it’s filling up. I see the same performance if it’s on my laptop or this HD. Good purchase. Fyi I didn’t write the review until a year after testing.

Using on Xbox one s, most of the time I have ti plug, and unused the drive to get the system to read it, then, most of the time it comes up with a corrupted file message, or tells me my games are not installed.

Needed for the PS5 due to the poor storage it has and this was the perfect solution for the PS4 games I still play.

Purchase this for my PlayStation 5, and it holds all my PS4 titles and apps for my console, freeing up precious space for my PS5 game titles. Between this connected to my external USBC port on my PS5, and the internal 2TB SSD I installed on the inside M2 slot, it will be a long time before I have to delete anything off of my PS5.

Its a bit expensive (5X what a cheap generic costs,) but it works on the Play Station 5 platform - which is what I needed...
