What we needed was a reliable hard drive for our Xbox. This set up easily and games are running well off of it. My family plays mostly rpg type games and nobody has complained about the speed of loading or playing.

The drive is kinda cool looking, like armored, and potentially could help dissipate heat. But thats where the honeymoon is over. The drive seldom achieves above 550MB/s under ideal conditions, so about 25% of its clearly-inflated published throughput. My old Crucial X8, which this was SUPPOSED to replace, gets double that speed, its actual published rating as well.

I like how this is narrower than the HDD version of the same product line, and the rubber feet are not as cheap either. It worked fine out of the box for a Windows 10 USB-A connection, but did not work via USB-C out of the box. The indicator light is subtle which is great. The cables are just standard cables for USB-C to USB-A, as well as USB-C to USB-C.

I use this for PS4 games on the PS5 even though its overkill for PS5.

I bought this for the series X cuz I thought Xbox would support drives this fast but boy was I wrong. It goes as fast as the Xbox OS allows it. Seems faster than my Samsung T5. Im happy with this purchase but less happy with Microsoft.

Was a little worried as I bought it for a PS5 and didnt know how well it would work. Reviews made it seem like its huge but I have it plugged into the front and its tiny, the size of a slightly longer credit card. On the PS5 it was way too easy to fill up with games CODMW war zone alone takes 250/650 gb or so. After that maybe 2-3 games like hitman 3, RRD2 and ace combat 7, but every time COD needs to update it needs 20-40gb so while you can fit more, more than likely you need extra space just to be able to download without deleting. Was frustrating compared to my 850+ gb on ps4 pro. Now I keep about 8-10 games on the SSD, and 2 on the PS5 and still have plenty of room and I have experienced no issues with loading or loud noises etc. Honestly they should ship it with the PS5.

Got this bad boy and plugged it in and worked right away! Make sure to use the front usb on the left.
