Lo compré ya que estaba a muy buen precio, mucho menor que un Evo 970 Plus de 1TB y funciona perfecto en Gen3x4 aunque ya sé que estoy desaprovechando las velocidades para las que fue diseñado, probablemente en un futuro cambie mi procesador pero por el momento estoy satisfecho con el desempeño en general.

I was part of the PS5 firmware 2.0 beta test that allowed SSD expansion, this particular drive had been on my radar since the PS5 launched, so I took the plunge to see how it worked, alongside a monster heatsink!

Habe mir die WD SN850 bestellt, voller Vorfreude auf die zu erwartenden Leistungen von bis zu 7000 mb/s.

So I purchased this (along with a heatsink) to install in a PS5.

Preis ist viel zu hoch dafür ich sie schon zwei mal Umtauschen musste bei Amazon. Hersteller gibt keinen support für seine Produkte zwecks Defekt des Produktes. Sehr schlechter Support von Western Digital.

TL/DR: If you do not have a Windows PC with an extra M.2 nvme slot, you cannot update the firmware unless you use Windows to Go or clone Win OS onto this SSD. External enclosures do not allow it either. There is no way to know if you even need a firmware update without this. But according to WD forums etc, yes you do need to update the firmware and according to below conversation, they all ship with factory default firmware not the latest...This will not run at 7k in a second M.2 slot either on any mobo.

Ordered this from Amazon EU S.a.r.L., it arrived in a SN850 box, with SN850 labels on it, but wasnt a SN850; it was a SN750, the prior model, £90 cheaper at time of purchase, and PCIe 3.0, not 4.0.

Lo recomiendo, maneja velocidades superiores a muchas otras, siempre y cuando la board y el procesador tenga la capacidad para manejar esa velocidad.

It was a little tricky to get my computer to format it but it works great now. Recommend to look up a formatting video for this ssd when installing it. Otherwise great product
