Bought this along with a compatible heatsink (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08G823MLD/ref=pe_27063361_487055811_TE_3p_dp_1) very easy to install both, no tech expertise needed.

Its extremely fast. You can improve its performance somewhat in certain situations by enabling Game Mode in the WD Dashboard. This prevents it from entering a low power state while idle, which will increase its power draw, but at normal electricity prices running this thing at its MAXIMUM power spec (which is a huge overestimate) 24/7 would cost on the order of $3/yr.

I am a massive Elite Dangerous fan and buying this drive and placing all my games onto this drive has smoothed things out to such a degree loading is absolutely never an issue. Jumping between systems is effortless the star comes in smoothly and all because things are going from the ssd into the RAM at such a pace that if the game needs info its there.
