> 3 dayI live close to the waterfront in a windy city and purchased this umbrella a few months ago. I really liked that it handled Boston’s gusty winds like a champ. However, one of the ties came undone and I contacted customer service. Their response was prompt and after exchanging pictures to identify the issue, I received a brand new replacement item!

> 3 dayWhen you pick it up for the first time, you can feel it’s not cheap. When it unfurls for the first time, you can see why. It’s construction is unlike any umbrella I’ve ever purchased. I’ve gone through a number of golf umbrellas - assuming those golf models were, by design, made to withstand strong wind and rain with sufficient capability to deliver you back to the Club house reasonably dry. I purchased this smaller model to test it before I dropped the extra coin for the golf size. I figured it would be a good model for the car; to get me the 50 yards into the office. But now, I think this smaller model is easily sturdy enough to get me from the 14th fairway back in. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThis heavy duty wide umbrella protected me well from the rain last year -- I live in part of the country surrounded by wetland and a lot of rain. Much better than the cheap umbrella I always had.

> 3 dayMechanism works well thus far. Have not had it long. A NYC gust will tell me more. Color selections are good, also.

> 3 dayThis is a very sturdy product - I must have misread the description and though it had the auto-close feature. 1st time it rained the umbrella was virtually dry when I got inside!

> 3 dayI love it. In the past I bought the Windbrella ....Not anymore. This is much more compact and just as good. Less expensive to boot! Wind is no match!

> 3 dayCant say Ive tested it in any 55mhp winds ... just yet. But, it seems to be built like a tank and I am confident it will live up to its tagline. Compared to a regular umbrella - it is noticeably heavier, in a good way though. Makes you feel empowered against the elements - armed in a way. You could use it to whack those storm gods on their heads... if things started to get really gnarly!
