Purchased this umbrella after seeing it on Fox News years ago. I will not purchase any other umbrella but this type..

We felt the handle in this model was either designed poorly or we ran into a manufacturing defect. After a couple months of use as a sun protector for our baby, we took the umbrella out on a long-ish hike (6 hours) with pretty moderate winds - again, primarily to protect the baby against sun. The handle busted as shown in the pictures, with the entire locking mechanism falling loose - and the umbrella could no longer be shortened. Not the end of the world - it can still be used in the extended position until the handle (now loose) completely falls off, but I expected more than a few months, and especially expected this umbrella to handle some moderate wind.

This is by far the sturdiest umbrella Ive ever purchased. I gave it an overall 5 star review because I think it would be great for people who are outside in the rain a lot (weatherman). In my case, I found it to be way too heavy for my use, and returned it for that reason.

I got one for my wife for Christmas, Think Ill get one for me too.

I had this umbrella for a few years after getting it as a gift and was devastated when I lost it recently. After much hand-wringing I finally bought it again, but it’s so worth it if you walk a lot or are out in the weather. Just don’t lose it!

This is really heavy duty, and has nice coverage. The only disappointment with it is it does not have automatic close. Other than that, nice, sturdy umbrella at a fair price.

Mechanism works well thus far. Have not had it long. A NYC gust will tell me more. Color selections are good, also.

Love the mechanism to open and close. The fabric is beautiful and has reflective edges. It is a little heavier than many umbrellas, but the high quality is worth it. It has a protective cover with reflective edge as well. Have not tried it in high wind, but it is supposed to hold up.

I love these umbrellas. My second one in 6 years. They have a warranty however my yellow one got grease on it or I would still be using it.
