Mechanism works well thus far. Have not had it long. A NYC gust will tell me more. Color selections are good, also.

Im updating my review to report that I am satisfied with their support once I went through Amazon site to contact them. Over the years, my wife and I had purchased four golf umbrellas from Weathermans website directly, and based on our positive experience, I purchased this umbrella for my son who walks at least a mile daily from his school to his younger brothers school to be picked up by my wife. Living in Seattle, he loved carrying his umbrella just in case of a heavier than usual rain, but recently had a couple of stretchers (had to look that up) break while shaking off rain from his umbrella. Since Weatherman offered a Lifetime warranty on their umbrella, I tried to contact Weatherman, but couldnt find a phone number. I contacted them through their website form, but I didnt even get an automated response saying that a case has been opened from my request, and now two weeks went by with no acknowledgment. I submitted another request, but again, no automatic acknowledgment in this day and age is really not acceptable to me. I realize parts break, things happen, but thought I was paying a premium for their service and Im disappointed.

I love this umbrella. It has small details like reflective banding on the edge of the fabric and its a nice big size for protection from the wind and rain. The teal color is perfect. Its not a travel umbrella, too heavy for that, but perfect for wet weather.

Though it was a tiny bit small and lighter, but its ok. The hefty actually gives it a very good feel.

This is really heavy duty, and has nice coverage. The only disappointment with it is it does not have automatic close. Other than that, nice, sturdy umbrella at a fair price.

I love the quality of this umbrella. Very nice and durable. Better than any umbrellas sold at Target/Walmart. My only complaint is the strings/threads tied to the frame need to be stronger - not sure how long these will last, but theyre just regular thread tied kinda loosely to the frame. I think I will reinforce it with some stronger thread.

It’s hard to find a good, solid, well built umbrella for a reasonable price. I’ve found it in this Weatherman Umbrella. It’s well made, sturdy, it gives me good protection from them rains here in southern Kentucky. Well made sturdy umbrellas that you can count on are rare in my experience. They just don’t last and fail often, especially in the wind. This one is beating the elements so far and I can recommend the umbrella and the Weatherman brand without reservation.

It’s absolutely great! I bought 2 such umbrellas - black and gray. I just love them!

Bought 5 for Christmas gifts.
